Deja fucking Vu. Except it wasn't Jani's band, whatever the name of it is. It was Bon fucking Jovi watching this shit go down. "Sorry Lori, but I gotta go to the hospital, bad car accident, all hands on deck." My mom said.

I sighed and nodded in unwanted understanding. I held out my hand and Carrie ran over excitedly to take it. I turned back around to face the guys. "I'm extremely sorry." I told them, given the fact I was quite literally still standing by there table.

They all smiled. "Nah, it's okay." Richie said. I nodded, returning the smile and slowly skating away while Carrie held my hand.

I put her at the table I usually do. "Sorry mommy." She said. I sighed, not bothering to correct her. There was a lot of shit going on and it wasn't that big of a deal. "It's okay, it's okay. I'll get you some paper, and some crayons. Okay?" I told her.

She nodded and then I got up. After I had gotten her the crayons and paper, I skated behind the counter to get the drinks they asked for.

"You can order whenever you're ready." I told them. They all nodded and were pretty much already to order. I wrote everything down that they told me, and last but not least was Jon.

"I'll have an omelette, please and thank you." He said, giving me a smile. I gave him a genuine smile back. As I skated to give the orders to the cook, I was still smiling. It's been awhile since someone who came in here didn't treat me with misogynistic ideations, jokes, and mindsets.

It's also been awhile since someone came in here that didn't degrade me with stupid fucking jokes.

It wasn't that busy anymore, so after I did that, I was going to skate to Carrie's table, but the door jingled again and I looked over and I was relieved. It was Heather. "Lori, guess what!" She said really excited as she pretty much ran over to me.

I looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "What?" I questioned. "We are going to a concert tonight!" She exclaimed. My eyes lit up. "Alright, I can get behind that, who?" I asked her. Heather's smile got bigger. "Bon fucking Jovi!" She said.

This whole conversation was basically her yelling at me excitedly. I was about to speak up, but she cut me off. "Now theres possibly your dream of Jon Bon Jovi serenading you personally with Secret Dreams." She joked.

My eyes went wide and I smacked her arm. "Heather!" I said embarrassingly. "She laughed, having no clue. "What?" I turned my head to the bands table and Jon was smirking at me, the rest of them wearing grins on their faces, forcing down laughs.

"Oh shit." Heather said. I nodded. "I'm sorry." She said, realizing she had embarrassed me. I shrugged. "There's no changing it." She nodded and told me she'd be at my house later to pick me up, and that her mom would 100% watch Carrie again.

When she left I sighed and awkwardly glanced back at Bon Jovi's table and then skated back to get their food. I skated back with the tray of their food and placed everything in front of them. "If you need anything else, lemme know. Enjoy." I said, giving them all a smile; pushing down my embarrassment.

I then quickly turned and skated off to go behind the counter. I was counting tips from the tip jar when I heard a low voice say hey. Deja fucking Vu once again. I looked up and it was Jon. He was smiling at me.

"Hey, your names Lori, right?" He questioned. I nodded. Ain't no way on gods green fucking earth or whatever was Jon Bon Jovi talking to me. "Yeah." I said.

His smile never dropped. "Well I just wanted to thank you, for y'know, not freaking out when we walked in here. I mean, you actually treated the guys and I like human beings." He stated.

Well who wouldn't treat someone like they wanted to be treated? Yeah they were famous, but famous people are still human. They got lives just like the rest of us.

I gave him a small smile. "You're welcome."

He gave a small head nod as he pulled an upside down smile. Couldn't help it when my smile grew bigger the minute he did that.

"Y'know, I didn't even know you were a fan of the band until your friend or whoever that was came in and started talking to you about us." He stated. I shrugged and furrowed my eyebrows, my smile dropping for a moment as I spoke.

"I didn't think it had to be public knowledge. You and your band may be famous, but that doesn't mean that you guys aren't still part of the general population-that you guys aren't people at all, y'know?" I explained as I put the tips back into the tip jar.

He started at me, smiling again. "What?" I questioned. "You're interesting." He shrugged. I looked at him. "Is that a good or bad thing?" I asked, genuinely wanting to know.

He looked at me a certain way. "A good thing." He replied. I nodded, the conversation dying fast. "Hey, if you're interested, I could give you and your friend backstage passes to the show tonight." He offered.

I furrowed my eyebrows. That was a little too Jani Lane for my liking. "What's your game here?" I questioned, being upfront about how that sounded to me.

His eyes went wide and he shook his head. "God, that's-that's not want I meant. I just mean I think you're cool. You respect people. You also understand how to treat people kindly. I-I just wanted to get to know you better." He said.

Never in my life have I seen Jon Bon Jovi nervous and stumbling over his words. Never in my life have I actually seen him at all.

"Sorry, the way I said that sounded bad." He continued. I nodded. I believed what he said. "Okay." I answered. He smiled. "Really?" He said, his eyes lighting up slightly. I nodded, a small smile back on my face.

Jon then talked to me for a few more minutes and then said he'd see me later. When he walked away, I was unaware of what this was gunna lead to.

The feelings I was gunna- well the feelings I already had, but the feelings that would grow.

***

Meeting Lori, god I'm glad I met her. Despite her being a fan of the band. She was a nice girl. Wasn't some crazy fucking fan girl out for blood or to have my or one of the other guys' babies.

She was actually sane. The minute we walked into the diner, I don't know, man, it was just, something about her, y'know?

I had all these feelings. I had that lovey shit type of feelin'

A/N: oh my god! Hey, hi. I'm loving this book and my Bon Jovi story(Trigger Control) but I have news! After this story and Trigger Control is done, I will be writing a story about the lead singer of the band Mr. Big. Eric Martin, so if you're interested in that, that's amazing. Happy reading :) -Jaimie 🦆🤙
