I woke up to the soft light of the morning sun filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room.

My arms instinctively reached out to the side of the bed, searching for that familiar warmth. But instead of feeling Rose's soft presence nestled against me, my hand met only the cool, empty sheets.

Where could she have gone so early in the morning?

I sat up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes and listening to the quiet around me.

I swung my legs over the side of the bed and glanced around the room, trying to catch a glimpse of her.

After a quick shower and throwing on some clothes, I made my way downstairs. The wooden steps creaked beneath my weight, each step echoing softly in the quiet of the morning.

As I approached the kitchen, a comforting aroma filled the air, rich, warm, and unmistakably coffee. My senses perked up at the scent, pulling me toward the source.

The kitchen of the cabin was bathed in the soft morning light, casting a golden hue over everything.

Rose was standing by the counter with her back to me, completely absorbed in what she was doing. The way the sunlight caught her hair, making it look almost like it was glowing, was a sight to behold.

I stood there for a moment, just watching her. The way she moved, the gentle way she handled everything, it made my heart swell with warmth.

How did I get so lucky to have her in my life?

She looked... peaceful. Beautiful, even in the simple act of making coffee.

I couldn’t help but smile as I approached her.I slid up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist, pressing a gentle kiss to her shoulder.

“Good Morning, sweetheart,”I whispered into her ear, my voice still a little groggy from sleep.

She turned her head slightly, and I caught a glimpse of her smile, soft, a little shy, and completely heart-melting.

“Good morning,” she replied, her voice as gentle as the morning itself.

“What are you doing up so early?” I asked, resting my chin on her shoulder and inhaling the rich coffee aroma that enveloped us both.

“I couldn’t sleep,” she said, her voice barely more than a whisper. “So I thought I’d make us some coffee.”

I chuckled, my breath warm against her skin.“I should’ve known. You’re really spoiling me, you know?”
