y/n wasn't going to lie and say that she wasn't disappointed at the fact that kageyama hadn't really defined the relationship yet.
they had gone on plenty of dates and they hung out whenever they could. and she was waiting.
kageyama was taking that time to gather up courage to ask her to his and for him to be hers.
he entered the cafeteria they agreed to eat in and spotted her immediately. she's the first thing he looks for and sees in every room he enters.
the girl is slouched on the table with her arms stretched out and the front of her face to the surface of the table. he smiled at the sight and sat across from her.
she still hadn't noticed that he joined her so he decided to commence his confession. he gently took hold of one of her hands and he felt her wake up and lift her head.
"...tobio? what're you doing?" she asked sleepily, he grinned and shrugged his shoulders, "i wanted to hold your hand."
"i want to hold your hand all the time, actually. sugawara-senpai tells me that that's something a boyfriend does so.. can i be your boyfriend?" he slowly said each word. sugawara told him not to rush after all.
y/n was stunned. she realized that she was taking too long to answer so she snapped out of it. "yes, yes, yes. oh my god tobio, yes please be my boyfriend!"
the two were smiling so hard their cheeks were starting to hurt. they decided to relocate to a nicer place to eat their first meal as a couple.
y/n had perfect attendance, she could skip one class. she thought their lunch was more important at that moment.
kageyama didn't have any classes that day, he only went to campus to have lunch with y/n, so they were both free for the rest of the day.
they decided to spend it at y/n's apartment. her roommate, aeri, went to her parents' for the weekend and she brought her puppy with her.
"make yourself at home. i'm just gonna wash up." even though they had gone on many dates, kageyama had never actually been inside of his now-girlfriend's apartment.
he took a look around and concluded that it was very her. her and a mix of someone else, her roommate. he had already met her and she approved of him almost immediately.
he was snapped out of his thoughts when y/n exited her room in a utokyo hoodie that was obviously too big on her. kageymama realized that it was his.
he stared at her as she sat herself down next to him as if she didn't know what personal space was. over the weeks they knew each other, y/n grew a liking to volleyball.
so the two sat on the couch with their arms around each other and a volleyball match playing on the television.
