ANGELA GIARRATANA

CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT
"I'LL KEEP YOU ON YOUR TOES"

°°°

KENNEDY hopped off the couch when she heard the sound of the door opening. happily bobbing to the door, she watched as it swung open and greeted her girlfriend with a smile.

"what'd you bring me?" kennedy asked, leaning on the wall.

"chinese food." angela smiled as she held up a large paper bag.

kennedy shook her head slowly. "god, i'm in love with you."

angela grinned, quickly pecking kennedy's lips as she hurried past her.

"i even got a small thing of chicken for our beloved sons." angela said as she unloaded the contents the bag.

"you're the best." kennedy's cheeks burned with lust and love as she watched the brunette place white cartons full of savory smelling food onto the counter.

"so, how did my boy behave while i was gone?" angela asked.

"like an angel." kennedy said, looking over to the small dog staring blankly at toby chewing on a toy.

the couple laughed at the dogs as kennedy grabbed two large plates. the clinking sound causing angela to look over.

"plates? nobody uses plates for chinese food." angela chuckled.

"i feel like being fancy." kennedy shrugged.

"so, are we eating at the table?" angela asked, helping kennedy dish out a little bit of everything onto the two plates.

"not that fancy." she smiled, moving to grab two bowls to give to the dogs. she cut up a few smaller pieces to make it easier for spork's little self to eat.

kennedy and angela both began feeling like each other's dogs were their own. angela smirked at kennedy's gesture as the pair walked over to the couch, the sound of the dogs excitedly eating their treat in the background.

"i'm so happy for court and shayne." kennedy sighed happily. "they both looked so amazing."

"i know, everything looked so perfect." angela smiled. "i'm glad they were able to announce it in a fun way, too."

"right? it totally made sense for them to announce it on april fools." kennedy nodded. "it makes me excited to tell people about us."

"are you gonna propose to me again?" angela joked.

"no," kennedy laughed. "not if you keep that attitude." she smiled.

"i'm glad you said no anyway." kennedy shrugged.

angela's jaw dropped. "wow." she held back a laugh.

kennedy laughed. "no, i mean like, if we had gotten married that young we would have missed all this growth, y'know?"

"yeah, i get it." angela nodded. she patted kennedy's leg and leaned back into the couch. "all in times... timing?" she tried to play it off cool, stumbling through a fake saying.

kennedy pursed her lips. "right... right..." she nodded slowly.

angela ate a forkfull of rice, keeping the serious look on her face. "mhm."

kennedy and angela laughed, leaning closer together. they continued to eat, their knees brushing together as they joked around.

kennedy felt like her heart was going to burst with every laugh, every smile thrown her way. angela's bright smile that caused her nose to crinkle and her eyes to slim was kennedy's weakness.
