"Hurry up!""Your yelling isn't doing shit, Cass!" Eleanor yelled in reply, throwing a pillow at the blonde, whose mouth fell agape at the action. She reached down to pick it up before harshly throwing it on the couch, where it was supposed to be. Meanwhile, Gale struggled to put a plate away on a high shelf. Vince, seeing this, ended up taking the plate from her hand and placing it on the intended shelf.
"Thanks," Gale muttered, earning a hum and a nod from her boyfriend.
Cassie and Eleanor continued arguing in the other room.
"Dude, why are we even cleaning!? What are they gonna say!? 'Oh, we're not moving in anymore because there weren't enough pillows on the couch even though we have all our shit packed.' We've known them for years!" Eleanor shouted at her friend, who just gave an annoyed look.
Everyone's heads turned to the door when there was a knock, and Eleanor immediately headed towards it while Cassie stressed, her hands grasped together behind her head. "They're here, they're here, they're here."
"I know, I know, I know," Eleanor told her in the same tone as she unlocked the door. She swung it open, smiling when she saw the three people standing there, one of them beaming as much as her, and the others with simple smiles. "Hi guys!" Eleanor greeted, waving as Gale and Vince joined her at the door, Gale saying a quiet greeting.
The next thing Eleanor knew, another face was beside hers, and she was forced away from the door in order to get her personal space back from Cassie.
"Do you guys need any help with your things?" She asked, taking Eleanor's place as the brunette in question gave an annoyed look. Their three friends looked at each other before collectively nodding, and everyone in the house was soon outside, helping carry different boxes into their home.
-
"What is this!?" Gale asked, eyeing the item in her hand from one of the boxes labeled 'Ace'. Everyone looked over, the owner of the item speaking up. "It's my shark."
"That is not a shark," Eleanor said, peering over from a different box. She glanced to Cassie as the blonde spoke over Vince.
"What kind of shark is that?"
"What the hell?"The shark in question was a poorly crocheted plushie.
"I'm still learning, okay?" Ace defended, and Gale put it aside as everyone continued digging through boxes.
-
A few moments later, Vince was the next person to speak up, an object from a box with 'Eden' scrawled on its side in sharpie. "What is this!?" He shouted, similarly to how his girlfriend did minutes ago. Again, it caught everyone's attention, and their faces quickly turned confused besides Eden. She wore a smile and raised eyebrows. "It's my worm!"
In Vince's hands was a rainbow worm on a string with googly eyes that was at least a foot and a half long.
"Why do you own that!?" Eleanor questioned the girl, who simply put an arm up. "Because it's silly!"
Cassie and Gale exchanged puzzled looks as if they were silently communicating before shaking their heads and returning to their work. Vince tossed the strange item to Eden before he continued.
-
Cassie flinched as she opened a box just inches shorter than her. She was met with a life-sized cutout of Bakugo Katsuki, an anime character. "Vivien, why do you still have this!?" She shouted, catching the brunette and everyone else's eyes.
"Because he's my husband!" Vivien yelled back while Eleanor sighed, Gale and Vince sharing confused and somewhat scared looks. Meanwhile, Eden and Ace's jaws were agape at the sight.
"Keep that in your room," Cassie told her, and she nodded. "I will, don't worry."
Eleanor grimaced at the statement, not even wanting to let her mind cycle through what Vivien would do with it.
-
Ace, Eden, and Vivien's things had all been unpacked and sorted into their rooms. It only took a few hours thanks to the number of people who now lived there. Eleanor, Gale, and Cassie plopped onto the couch, sighing.
"Well, rent is gonna be a hell of a lot cheaper for each of us," Eleanor spoke up, throwing her legs onto Cassie, who ignored the action but nodded nonetheless.
Vince, Eleanor, Gale, and Cassie had gotten a seven bedroom house around halfway into their sophomore year of college. Between Vince and Eleanor's acting careers, Cassie's gymnastics, and Gale's job at the hospital, they managed enough money by the time they were around twenty. They got a house that big because they had initially planned on Eden, Ace, and Vivien moving in, but the three weren't ready at the moment. A year later, though, they were happy to inform the four that they were able to move in. Although it's safe to say that Eden was the most excited.
