Y/N took the time to visit Anaya's grave, replacing the dying flowers with fresh ones. She hadn't been there in a while, and the thought of it weighed on her. She gathered some fresh flowers, the same kind that Anaya used to love. She brushed her fingers over Anaya's name, etched into the stone, and took a deep breath.

"Hi, Anaya," she began, her voice trembling slightly. "I'm sorry I haven't been here in a while. Things have been... different. I got a new job. I'm working at this restaurant now, and it's been good for me. The owner, Kim Taehyung Jungkook's best friend, is a chef too, and he's been teaching me a lot. He's tough, but he's helped me grow so much in the kitchen. I even have one of my dishes on the menu. Can you believe it?"

She smiled softly, her heart aching as she spoke. "I wish you could see it. You always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself. I'm trying to make something of myself now. I'm trying to be the person you always knew I could be."

Y/N paused, her fingers trembling as she clutched the edge of the stone. Her voice grew quieter, more fragile. "But it's been hard, Anaya. I miss you every day. There's this emptiness that nothing seems to fill. I'm trying to move on, to live my life, but sometimes it feels like I'm just pretending. Pretending to be okay."

She wiped away a tear that slipped down her cheek, her thoughts turning to Jungkook. "And then there's Jungkook," she whispered. "I don't know what to do about him.... now I don't know how to feel. He's been dating, trying to move on, I guess. But it's hard seeing him with someone else, knowing that we're both trying to find something that's missing."

Her voice broke, and she covered her face with her hands, letting the tears flow freely. "I'm so lost, Anaya. I don't know what to do. I don't know how to keep going without you."

"I love you, Anaya," she said softly, her voice hoarse. "I'll try to keep going, for you. I'll try to be strong like you always were."

There were times she missed seeing Jungkook, but like all things, distance seemed to help her focus on herself and her career. Taehyung took the time to teach her certain techniques in the kitchen. His tutoring helped her with her own cooking, and he even placed one of her dishes on the menu, which gave her a buzz.

Her life started to change one night when she was walking around the grocery store. It was a Friday and her day off. She glanced down at her list of ingredients as she reached to grab a stack of bananas. Someone else had reached out for them, and their fingers connected.

"I'm so sorry," she said.

"It's okay, love. My fault. I wasn't watching where I was going." He offered her a smile before reaching for the bananas and handing them to her.

Y/N felt her cheeks flush as Yoongi smiled at her, his gaze warm and inviting. "I wouldn't deny a pretty woman some fruit," he said, handing her the bananas.

She took the fruit from him, her heart fluttering slightly. "Thank you," she replied, trying to hide her blush as she tucked some hair behind her ear.

"You're very welcome," Yoongi said, his smile widening.

They stood there for a moment, just looking at each other. "Well, I'm going to finish my shopping," Y/N said, nervously waving her list in front of her.

As she started to move away, she could feel Yoongi's eyes on her. It was a different feeling from when Jungkook was around—less intense but still noticeable.

"Wait Y/n right," Yoongi called out, catching up with her.

Y/N turned, curious. "Yes?"

"I know this might sound a bit forward, but I was wondering if you'd like to hang out sometime,"

Yoongi said, his voice friendly and genuine. "Maybe grab a coffee or something?"

Y/N was taken aback. "You're asking me out?"

Yoongi chuckled, a playful glint in his eye. "Not exactly a date, just a chance to catch up. We used to work together at the mall, right?"

"Oh, yeah! I remember you now," Y/N said, her face lighting up with recognition. "We did work together."

Yoongi nodded. "Exactly. I thought it'd be nice to reconnect. And if you ever need someone to talk to about—well, men or anything else, I'm here."

He handed her a piece of paper with his number. "Here's my number. Just give me a call when you're free, and we can set something up."

Y/N looked at the paper, then back at Yoongi. "I don't know. I haven't really done this before."

Yoongi grinned. "Don't worry about it. It's just a friendly hangout. And if you ever need a break from all the nonsense, I'm your guy."

He handed the pen back to a passing worker and started to walk away. "Oh, and by the way," he said with a wink, "if you ever spot a cute guy in here, don't be afraid to let me know.."

Y/N laughed, feeling a bit more at ease. "I'll keep that in mind."

After finishing her shopping, she went home and sat at her kitchen counter with a bowl of cereal and a piece of paper with Yoongi's number. The fridge, with Jungkook's card still stuck to it, seemed to stare back at her.

No, she couldn't think about him like that. He'd never given her any indication they could be more than friends. Y/N picked up her phone and dialed Yoongi's number.

"Hello," Yoongi answered, his voice cheerful.

"Yoongi, hi, it's Y/N. From the grocery store. I remember you now!" she said, a smile in her voice.

"Hey, Y/N! I've been waiting for your call. So, about that hangout—what do you say?" Yoongi's enthusiasm was clear.

"I'd love to," Y/N replied, feeling a new sense of excitement.

"Awesome! I can't wait," Yoongi said.

Y/N chuckled, feeling lighter. "Will do."oh forgot to tell you Yoongi likes Man, ahem ahem.
