It was a few days after her return that Pogo and Grace had planned for the memorial. All the others would be coming for it from wherever they were but none yet knew of Adelaines return.

After having a day to adjust to the way the world worked she was given access to Sir Reginald Hargreeves funds he had left behind. The money wasn't at all for her but Pogo, feeling guilty he hadn't done anything to get her out before, let her have it so she could buy new clothes and not be stuck in the academy uniform.

So now here she was in a black dress with a short sleeved white shirt underneath it, waiting for all her siblings to arrive. Her leg bounced anxiously, causing the laces on her boots to shift around, as she waited for them all.

She could hear voices along with footsteps walking up and down the corridors of the academy. Most walked straight past her room as if it weren't even there. Like her and any evidence of her didn't exist any more.

That was until one set of footsteps stopped outside the door before a light knock came. Adelaine turned her head to the door at the sound but didn't move to open it. She wouldn't know what to say to whoever was standing there.

It was a moment before a man's voice sounded from the door. "Heyyy Adds it's me Klaus" she felt a few tears well in her eyes. It had been so long since she heard Klaus's voice "I don't know if you're awake but I just wanted to speak to you anyways and share the news. Dads dead!"

He let out a small laugh at the end that made Adelaine smile "So if you're gonna come back to us, now's the time so we can party" he dragged out the 'y' before doing a small tapping on the door "Bye. Again" he sighed the last word sadly.

The sound of Klaus walking away gave her the chance to give out a shaky exhale. If he didn't forget her maybe the others didn't either. Maybe she had a chance to reconnect with them all after all.

It wasn't long after another knock came in the door "Miss Adelaine everyone has gathered in the living room to discuss your fathers memorial. Perhaps you wish to join them"

Pogo's voice came through the wooden door making Adelaine get up and go over to it. She swung it open and ran her hands down her dress shakily before nodding "Yes I will"

The intelligent ape gave her a smile that made her feel slightly more confident as she walked down the hallway. She fiddled nervously with her fingers that had a few rings on them. How would they all react to her return?

Her boots padded down the carpeted stairs before she arrived in the lobby of the house. A few quick breaths in and out to steady herself before she headed through. She saw two women, one with curly hair that was dyed blonde and the other with straight black hair. Three men sat among them, one large, a Mexican man covered in knives beside him and walking past the sofa a thin man holding a drink and cigarette.

"Cucumber sandwiches are always a winner" the man that Adelaine recognised from his voice to be Klaus says as he sat on the couch next to one of the women.
