Adelaine walked by Klaus's side as they shared a pack of gummy worms Klaus had managed to hide in his pocket. They were heading in the general direction of the academy but with Klaus leading the way, Adelaine wasn't 100% sure.
Klaus had taken the last gummy bear and proceeded to throw the packet away before he turned to the red haired girl "So Addie you gonna tell me what's up with you spending all this time with Five"
The girl raised a brow at him "What do you mean?" she asked, never really knowing what Klaus was on about but now she really had no clue.
He chuckled at her before speaking "Ever since you got back, all you've done is spend time with the old man. I mean he can't be the best company. Wait is he?"
With a shake of her head and a small grin the girl looked over to Klaus "You do remember that technically there's only a few years between us mentally" His eyes widened as she reminded him of what she had told them only a few days ago "So I'm an old women really"
"Yeah but you're the old lady that bakes cookies for people and everyone loves" Klaus began making Adelaine chuckle "Five is the old man that sprays people with his garden hose if they get too close to his garden"
Adelaine couldn't help the laughter that escaped her at Klaus's words before she managed to speak "That may be true but Five's less grouchy when I'm with him. Maybe it's just you guys he doesn't like spending time with"
As if he had been stabbed in the heart, Klaus clutched his heart in hurt "I'm wounded Addie, truly" it was as if a lightbulb flicked on inside Klaus's head "Oh shit I told Diego we'd be back as soon as possible. Chop chop Adelaine we have places to be"

After getting lost over six times and leading the pair down the wrong street on too many occasions, Klaus finally got them to the academy. When they walked in everyone else was already there, including Luther who had even left the van after them.
Not to Adelaine's surprise Five was nowhere to be seen as she walked over beside Diego and offered him one of her Oreo's. She noticed the small tv Luther was fiddling with "Ooo what we watching?" She asked angling her head to get a better view of the screen.
The screen came to life as Luther stepped away for them all to see "It's security footage of the night dad died" he explained. This got Adelaines attention as she watched the footage of her father lying dying as Grace simply watched and then walked away.
She scanned the faces of the others in the room and most of them were slightly confused at why Grace let him die. "I mean do you really think Mom would hurt Dad?" Vanya asked the others.
Adelaine looked to the woman beside her before turning to Diego who didn't seem amused at all. "You haven't been home in a long time, Vanya," Luther reminded her, "Maybe you don't know Grace anymore?"
