When they got closer to the building it was growing darker as it got later. Since he didn't have any money to pay the driver, Five put his hand on top of Adelaines that rested on her lap. She looked at him as he silently asked if she was okay for him to blink them out. She nodded and within a flash they were out of the car and within walking distance of the store.

As they walked, Five turned to her with a question that had been playing on his mind "Did you have anyone? Where you got stuck?" the girl simply shook her head in reply making Five sigh "That must have been hard Addie, I'm sorry you were alone"

The girl looked up from her feet to face him giving him a small smile "It's okay. I mean I had a dog but he didn't really count" she gave a soft chuckle before continuing "But it was no apocalypse, it must have been hard living through all that. I'm sorry you had to go through that"

Before Five could reply they had ended up at the doors that were lit softly from the bright glow of the red sign above their heads. It had begun to rain as they approached the door which was obviously locked so Five took her hand and blinked them inside.

Adelaine looked down at their intertwined hands as she felt her cheeks heat up which luckily Five didn't notice. The boy seemed to know exactly where he was going so, without dropping Adelaines hand began to lead her through the store.

The only light was a soft blue one coming from the ceiling that didn't really do anything so Five grabbed a torch to take in his spare hand. She noticed how he was shining the light mostly on the mannequins the store had on display around the room.

When they came to the end of one section between the rails Five stopped, keeping the light shining ahead of him. He started walking both of them towards three mannequins that actually had faces, all dressed up and standing tall above them.

Once the pair reached the mannequins Adelaine was slightly concerned as she had no clue what the hell was going on. "Delores" he said softly while shining his torch on the main mannequin in the middle.

In pure surprise the girl beside him dropped his hand having not expected that of all things. She looked between the boy and mannequin with wide eyes not really sure what to say as Five kept talking to her. "It's good to see you, it's been a rough couple of days"

He then looked at the girl before then back to Delores "This is Adelaine, the one I told you about" he paused giving her time to respond that "I can't tell her that, not yet. She needs time"

Adelaine was starting to realise that Five obviously found Delores in the apocalypse and kept her to keep some sort of contact. When he next looked at her he nodded towards Delores "Hello Delores. It's nice to meet you" she did it for Five as she gave the mannequin a small wave.

While looking up at Delores Five saw the two people approaching before she did. "NO!" he shouted just as the gunfire began coming towards them. His body slammed into Adelaines as he pushed her to the ground using himself to shield her in case she got hit.
