The next morning Adelaine woke up to something shifting about on the mattress she was lying on. Along with that she heard someone groan and after rubbing her eyes the girl saw Five at the end of the beg attempting to stitch back together a wound on his arm.
Although Five was capable of many things, apparently closing up his own arm from a gunshot graze was not one of them. The girl sat up and swung her legs over the bed before shuffling over so she was now standing next to the bed.
Five, who hadn't even realised she'd woken up, ended up pricking himself on the arm with the needle after she scared him by appearing next to him. Even if Adelaine couldn't he remembered how after telling her about finding her dead in the apocalypse they had sat on the bed together and told each other stories from their time alone.
It had gotten even later by the time Adelaine ended up falling asleep with her head resting against Five's shoulder. The boy didn't mind her being there but ended up shifting them so they could lay more comfortably. After she did it wasn't long until Five managed to fall asleep beside her, finally managing to get a good night's sleep in he didn't know how long.
Adelaine walked up to Five and gently took the needle out his hands, their fingers brushing against one anothers. "Let me help you" she told him not really giving him the option as she already had the needle in her hands. "Why didn't you tell me last night?"
The girl tried to be careful as she pushed the needle through getting the wound closed well to avoid infection or it reopening. "You would have worried even though it's nothing and you needed to rest." She was making more progress than Five did and she could feel his gaze on her as she worked. "Thank you" Five said as she finished up.
Adelaine smiled at him as she moved over to his desk where there was a box of 'Billy the choo-choo' plasters. Very fitting for the assassin. She took a plaster out its wrapping before walking back over and putting it over the stitches "There you go" her fingertips trailed around the wound softly over the dried blood. "I'm gonna go change, I'll be back soon"
Five nodded as she walked out the room and headed back to her own to change into new clothing. A white vest and short sleeved blue chequered cropped shirt over the top was what she changed into with a new pair of jeans seeing as she'd slept in the other pair. With her red hair up in a ponytail she walked back through to Five's room to see him standing ready to go with Delores on his back.
The window at the back of the room was open as she walked in the room "You coming?" she asked Five leaning against the door frame. Five turned to her with a small grin before he put one foot out the window and nodded his head towards it. "Oh you must be shitting me"
"No I am not. Now hurry we have stuff to do" he told her, making Adealine give a heavy sigh before she walked through the room to get over to the window. Five climbed out first onto the metal balcony before Adelaine followed and the pair started heading down the old metal staircase.
