THE GIRL WHO HAUNTS THE BATHROOM
Days after Harry's arm had grown its bones back, Harry, Ron, and Hermione informed me to meet up with them in the Second Floor's girls' lavatory after lunch. Harry said he wanted to talk to me about something that had happened the first night he was stuck in the Hospital Wing. I was confused. Why would they call me to go to the girls' bathroom for what happened to Harry? Why not an empty classroom or the Quidditch lockers?
~~~~~~Skip to after lunch~~~~~~
I wasn't a fan of the girls' lavatory after first year. I remember that was the place I had turned to when Voldemort was inside my head. I walked in whispering, "Harry? Ron? Hermione?"
"Over here," Hermione called.
I walked in to find all three of them in the middle of the bathroom. Hermione sat in front of a small cauldron. She must've started working on the Polyjuice Potion for Harry and Ron. Harry sat on the floor by the sinks and Ron leaned on a stall. I asked, "So why did you call me here? What's going on?"
Harry answered, "Something happened a few nights ago..."
Harry began explaining how he had a previous run-in with a house-elf named Dobby and how he has been constantly trying to keep Harry from going to Hogwarts. Dobby had stopped the Platform Nine and Three-Quarters barrier, he had kept Harry's letters from his us, and Dobby was the one who had jinxed the bludger to injure Harry and be a partial reason for Draco to be thrown from his broom. He explained how Dobby was able to talk to Harry without his master's consent or knowledge. He also talked about how Dobby accidentally revealed that the Chamber of Secrets had been opened before. Ron spoke, "Of course! Don't you see? Lucius Malfoy must've opened it when he was at school here! Now, he's taught Draco how to do it!"
"You really think he opened the chamber? He's, like, forty years old! How could he have opened it then?" I said, confused.
Ron answered, "For all we know, he could be older than that."
"Maybe," Hermione interjected. "We'll have to wait for the Polyjuice Potion to know for sure."
Ron seemed disgusted, "Enlighten me. Why are we brewing this potion in broad daylight, in the middle of the girls' lavatory? Don't you think we'll get caught?"
"No," Hermione answered laughing, looking to me.
Hermione and I had the same idea "No one ever comes in here, Ron," I laughed.
"Why?"
"Moaning Myrtle," Hermione answered.
"Who?"
All of a sudden, a faint ghost peered through one of the stalls at the chant of her name. She had Hogwarts robes with a Ravenclaw emblem, low black pigtails and bangs, and a set of round glasses. I knew her as a matter of fact. After I was possessed, she saw me trying to rid my body of Voldemort.
"Moaning Myrtle," Hermione answered, stunned at Myrtle because she didn't notice her before.
"Who's Moaning Myrtle?" Ron asked, still confused.
"I'M MOANING MYRTLE!!" She spat at him, scaring him to death.
I just smiled, "Myrtle. Elizabeth Warren. How ya been girl?"
Ron was surprised, "You know her?"
"She haunts this bathroom," I informed. "Almost all girls know about her. She kind of saw me when Voldemort was in my head."
Myrtle squeaked, "Your eyes are different, little more green now. Fitting for your house, Victoria. As for YOU!" She jolted her head towards Ron unpleasantly.
"I wouldn't expect you to know me," she moped, sad again. "Who would ever talk about ugly, miserable, moping, Moaning Myrtle?"
"Not boys," I laughed.
She then cried as she dove head first into one of the toilets. I assured them, "She'll be alright."
"She's a little sensitive," Hermione added.
"A little?" I laughed at her statement, knowing full-well that Moaning Myrtle was extra sensitive.
We continued to talk about the plan as Hermione brewed the potion and constantly stirred it. When finished for the steps of today, we hid the potion in the farthest stall and locked it, crawling back out underneath and went along with the day.
