Soaring through the air, Gryffindor's team comes in cheering and yelling, while Slytherin's house boos and chants taunts. Pansy and Astoria yell the loudest, mocking the Gryffindor players.
"SLYTHERIN IS SUPERIOR!" I hear a boy from the back of my section scream. The yell sent a shockwave through my body, along with the rumbling of the feet on the stands.
I turn to complain to Astoria but before I can get a word out, my attention gets stolen by 3 boys on broomsticks erupting out of their locker room on their brooms. Sure, the other guys looked good, but my view was only on one of them. The one that I just so happened to have a backstory with.
I get quickly snapped out of my thoughts about the platinum haired boy by Pansy screaming for our team, making me cover my ears. In no time, the three boys fly up to our section and take their according places, making everyone cheer for them.
With hesitation, I pick my head up and see Malfoy staring at me. Just being playful and all, I shoot him a wink. Before I can think about what I just did, he mouths words I can hardly see,
"I like the sweater, Pretty girl." He whispers, hardly above any noise. I look down at my sweater and remember for a split moment it's his. I'm repping Draco Malfoy's last name on my back...and I'm just now realizing.
I open my mouth to make words connect after my realization but it doesn't seem to work in my favor. I end up just swallowing the embarrassment and looking at him with a slight lip bite.
I can see the way his eyes flicker down to look at my lips, so close..yet so far away. He quickly regains himself and pushes himself closer to the stands to say another snarky one liner,
"Don't make me fall off this broom now, we wouldn't want that would we?" He says which makes my mouth open wider now, but I regain my composure and roll my eyes at him.
"I don't know Malfoy, might be fun to see you take a tumble." I chuckle, making him feign hurt. He procedes to flip his broom upside down, playing it off like he's falling. I quickly stand up and yell his name but he gets back up.
"Looks like someone does care after all. Bye darling, root for me." He winks and flies away to get into his position for the game starting, with the other 2 following close behind him.
I didn't know it, but my eyes were glued to the cocky boy. Astoria nudges me in my shoulder and gives me a look that says 'You don't like him?', making me roll my eyes at her and shake my head.
I cling to my sweater..well Draco's sweater..as it gets colder and the breeze hits me. The game is tense with Gryffindor a point ahead of Slytherin. I know that they can do it, they have to...I want to have a party to attend after all this!
With a swift swing, Blaise knocks Ron Weasley off of his broomsticks, making Slytherin's section growl with excitement for our team. The tension in the air made everyone feel sick, as if when we won, it would be a big moment for us.
Draco was flying through the air, searching for the golden snitch. He was wearing his Slytherin Quidditch uniform, the green material hugging his toned figure. A look of concentration on his face as he scanned the area.
His eyes flickered down towards me for a brief second and he smirked, seeing me wearing his sweater and making a mental note to tease me about wearing it later. I saw the look and shook my head no, making him chuckle and focus back in on the game.
I could feel a smile creeping up, and I didn't necessarily stop it from happening either. Meanwhile, Draco kept his focus on the game, his competitive nature pushing him to search harder and harder for the snitch. Theo and Blaise relied on him, as well as the other teammates.
He zoomed past the other players on his broom, his Slytherin green robes flowing behind him. Occasionally, his gaze would meet mine and he'd smirk, enjoying the fact that I was here, supporting him and the team.
Draco didn't stop his grind. He was determined to get that golden snitch. He pushed his broom to go faster, closing the gap between him and the snitch. This time, he was closer. His hand reached out, desperately trying to grab the tiny ball...before something happened.
Cormac Mclaggen pushed Draco out of the way, throwing him off of his broom completely. I stood up and started yelling at Cormac and cursing all over. I was angry, worried that something had just happened that couldve been dangerous.
I know Malfoy can handle himself, and that was proved correctly when I saw him call his broom back to him with a Accio charm. I yelled supportive words at him and smiled with a fiery attitude in me.
From what I could see, he was beat pretty good from the fall, but that didn't matter at all. He was mad, pissed at Mclaggen for what had just occured. Cormac saw the look on his face and avoided eye contact, still chasing for the snitch.
Draco then pushed him away, and went diving for the snitch, catching it in his hand. The crowd of Slytherin was soaring and beaming with excitement at this revelation. I stood up and jumped with Astoria and Pansy. It was an exciting moment. You know what this means, don't you?
A Slytherin party.
