Locking eye contact has never felt more awkward than right now. I can feel Draco being tense, his arms and jaw clenched in worry. With silence, I close my eyes and take a deep breath. Everything's gonna be fine...just fine...
"Briar Viper Black. What is a Malfoy doing in my home?" Sirius Black questions while I look away and avoid all eye contact. I can't look him in the eye, just like how I can't let go of the boy in front of me.
"Sirius she didn't do anything it was all m-" Draco starts to say but gets cut off by my furious father. His words make me shake my head softly because he knows he's taking the blame. He's getting himself into more trouble than he has to, just for me.
"I had already assumed such, everyone besides my daughter and Malfoy, clear out. Now." He motions, making all of the others scurry out immediately. Me and Draco face towards him while he stands a little bit in the room.
"Sir-" Draco continues where he left off but gets cut off by a big noise. A noise loud enough to make me flinch and react quickly. I don't make eye contact with either of them till the abrupt noise hits my ears.
"DON'T START WITH ME NOW MALFOY. BRIAR YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EVEN LETTING THIS SNAKE INTO OUR HOME!" Sirius yells and I quickly act on it. He shouldn't talk about a friend, or ex friend, of the family like that.
"FATHER!" I raise my voice back in response but he completely ignored it. My heart beat is rising and I can feel the anger in my body coming up through my skin.
As my father and Draco have a screaming match back and forth I slowly start to try and get their attention and diffuse the tension in the room.
"stop it...Stop...STOP!" I snap and grab the attention of both males. They can both tell I'm furious and pissed off just as much as anyone else.
"I will not sit here and watch you too bicker with each other while we used to be friends! So please if you will, excuse us and go tend to the guests father because I'm done arguing." With that, I pull draco with me to where the rest of our friends are. I walk past all of them, avoiding their questions.
I was on fire. Flames were practically scorching through my hair strands as I walked out of the manor. I wasn't going to stay there any longer then I had too. Before apparating, I make sure everyone is here and when I do, I teleport back to diagon alley.
"Anyone else up for a butterbeer?" I offer and they all silently but mumble a response meaning yes. With that, we walk into the three broomsticks and sit down at a table. I can feel their eyes on me, every single one of them. At the time I didn't care, Draco and me weren't talking which is the opposite of what I wanted, but I would snap on anyone who tried to talk to me.
Sipping my butterbeer, it seems to calm me. No one talking besides a slight whisper of Draco catching everyone else up on what happened back at the manor. As the butterbeer slides down my throat, I feel a presence behind me..
"Briar." I could recognize that snobby voice anywhere. Viktor Krum, aka my ex partner. I roll my eyes to stop me from exploding all of my emotions on him.
"Why so tense, could it be perhaps..your father thinking you're a failure to the Black name?" Viktor explains and he knows what he's doing. He was right...with my father, the Slytherin streak was over in our family until I came along..
Although I didn't want to admit it, he was correct. That didn't stop me from being clearly aggravated with him and that didn't stop me from doing my next action either...
With one swift movement, I took what was left of my butterbeer and poured it straight into Krum's head before storming out. It would be unlike me to leave without saying something snarky, so as any realistic person would say, all I clapped back with was,
"Good luck with the tournament, hope nothing goes wrong." I sent him off with a wink and stormed out of the building in diagon alley. Nobody could say anything as I walked out. It was silent and awkward.
Before I knew it, I wound up in the Slytherin common room before strutting to my dorm. I was not going to talk to anyone before I had to go to bed, and kept it that way till I fell asleep.

"Briar grab your shit and let's go, the Malfoy's are nothing but greedy and self centered." He says and rips me and Draco's hands apart from each other. I don't understand. We've always been friends with their family, me and Draco a little more. I can't leave him.
"Briar Viper Black. What is a Malfoy doing in my home?" Sirius Black questions while I look away and avoid all eye contact. I can't look him in the eye, just like how I can't let go of the boy in front of me.
Its impossible to let go of something you've held into for so long..especially when they have a spell over you. Not a real spell of course, unless you could count poison as one.
Poisons definition, as a person speaking is something so addicting that you can't seem to take away. Knowing it's harms of course, but knowing it's consequences would be later in the future when you've finally realized what you've done to yourself. Before you know, it's too late and you're too far in. No stopping now.
My poison was Draco Malfoy.
