Clearing out the stands was rough to say the least. Person after person, group after group. Gryffindor's house was most definitely salty about the loss, but it didn't concern me. I have somewhere to be, where they don't. A good old common room party.
Me, Astoria, and Pansy all go up to our dorm to go change for the party. While we pick out dresses and heels, we quickly switch clothes, but before we're done Astoria brings something up.
"So Briar, you and Malfoy huh?" She questions and Pansy immediately makes a 'oooh' sound, adding on to the banter. I roll my eyes before strapping my heels on.
"No. Never. In any universe, me and Draco will never happen." I say, acting disgusted, but something in my mind thinks differently. We have known each other for a long time...or did know each other before we separated.
But I believe we are growing back together, it'll just take some time to seal the wound that got opened. Without another word from those two, we head down towards the party.
I immediately catch the eyes of Blaise and Theo, while we make our way over to them. We all smile at each other and I notice one of us is missing...the one I came for in the first place.
I decided to brush it off and we start partying like real Slytherins would during an event like this. A bunch of us are jumping and singing to the songs being played.
"THIS IS OUR HOUSE!! SLYTHERIN REIGNS SUPERIOR!" I hear Lucian Bole yell from across the room, making me roll my eyes, even though I agree. Salty by association, is what I am towards him because of Pucey.
While getting a refill on my drink, Blaise comes up next to me, I decide it's a perfect time to pop the question. Blaise of all people should know the answer anyway.
"Zambini? Where's Malfoy at? Shouldn't he be here by now?" I question him, making him chuckle softly but answering me while sipping his drink, leaned up against the counter.
"He is still in the locker room, after fucking Mclaggen knocked him off his broom, he had to clean up some of the damage you know?" Blaise responds, and I can hear the anger evident in his voice.
I nod my head and take a second to think by myself. I wonder if he's alright, if he's bummed out about missing the party he worked for to make happen. Without another idea, I thank Blaise and set off on my way to the locker room.
Blaise chokes on his drink when I pat him, and watches me walk away before shaking his head, smiling. The guy running the stand turns around, ready to hand me my drinks, but Blaise looks at him and shrugs and takes my drink, before sipping it down himself.

Strolling through the corridors was easy, it's not hard to remember where most places are. Especially since half the people I know travel here everyday. With one swift motion, I knock on the door to the locker room and hear a 'come in' from the other side.
I walk in and see Draco looking in the mirror with a small rag in his hand, running it over his cuts from the fall. I stop in my tracks before staring at him quietly. When he turns around and notices it's me, he quickly throws the rag in the sink and clears his throat.
"Black. What are you doing here? Don't you have a party to be at?" He says, with his voice at a slightly fast pace. I walk closer to him, and my heels click with every step I take. The closer I come, the more damage I see on his body..
"A party you should be at as well Malfoy. You won for it to be possible after all." I exclaim and keep walking closer, till eventually I'm right in front of him. I reach behind him and take the rag in the sink before placing it over a cut on his chin. It makes him winces in pain, which causes me to let out an apology.
With silence, I drag him to a bench for him to sit down on. Easier access for me to attend to his wounds and cuts without having to stand on my toes. He sits down and I stand in front of him, right in between his legs.
I can hear his breath hitch in his voice when I do this, and I can't lie, it had an effect on me. But I can't act on it, neither can he. Going against our parents' rule would be bad for the both of us. We know that.
"You know Briar, you can go back and I can finish this by myself." He states, but I keep my focus on his injuries. Not giving any mind to what he just said. All I can do in return is shake my head and lift his chin up with my hand to get a better view for healing.
I stop for a second and look down at his eyes. The piercing silver color looking into mine. He's addicting, like a drug. A really really bad drug. We stop there, just staring at each other. The silence is comforting, safe almost. It reminds me of the night before, sleeping in his bed.
"Briar." He says making me snap out of my thoughts quickly. I realize he was seething and clenching his jaw from the rag, as I apologize, I also pull back the rag from his face. He instantly relaxed and gets better.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to I was just...lost in thought." I quickly spit out. He tilts his head a little bit to the right before resisting how to ask me what it was about. I brushed it off and took out my wand.
He already knew what was going to happen so he stayed still while I mumbled a healing spell that would patch up the rest of the cuts. Watching them fade away, each and every one of them made my heart relax at the sight of him clean and not bloody.
After we finished, he followed me back to the party so he could finally join in on the fun. You could say that was just a friend helping another friend but there was something there..something that we both felt...almost as if we were about to..
No Briar. Get out of your mind. But the whole way back all I can think about is if I would have turned it down if he did make a move...
