First Challenge

As I was hurrying to my dorm I was stopped in the hallway.

I looked up to see Cedric standing infront of me. "No, Cedric don't say anything." I said as I tried to leave but he held my shoulders.

"You and him can't be real. I know you. I know you wouldn't move on like that." He said as he slowly let go of the grip on my shoulders.

"Well I thought I knew you. But it seems you knew Cho more, and get out of my life. I'm serious" I said as I walked away, not turning back as I hurried through the common room and into my dorm.

The only place I could feel peace at the moment.

I got ready for bed and finally managed to get some sleep. I needed some, very much.

I woke up feeling slightly better but just tired of life in general. I left my hair down and changed into my clothes and chucked my shoes on.

I quickly brushed my teeth and sprayed my perfume before leaving my dorm.

I walked down to the lunch hall and immediately went to go sit with Harry, Ron and Hermione. Although somebody was missing.

"Hey guys, where's Harry?" I ask as I sit down and pick up a bread roll and butter it.

"He's away preparing for his challenge. Did you forget? We finally get to watch the first challenge!" Ron says excitedly.

"Ron's only really excited about getting to miss a test today, I am quite bummed about it since I studied. Completely oblivious to the fact we were missing it until last week" Hermione says as she places her books into her bag.

"Does anybody know the first challenge?" I ask, as I also forgot about the challenge.

"Nope, not even the contestants. I hope they're all okay, especially Harry" Hermione says as Ron rolls his eyes at the last part, sneaky enough for Hermione not to notice.

"Well where are we supposed to go then?" I asked, confused at the little amount of details they gave us for this big event.

"The teachers will lead up so don't worry, plus if we get lost we'll get lost together" Hermione said, making me feel better about myself.

-Time skip to sitting and waiting in the crowd of the playing field-

I arrived with Ron and Hermione. I didn't know who else to go with since I didn't know what terms I was on with the Slytherins.

Obviously, they are slytherins. So I wouldn't expect them to always be decently nice to me but it wasn't a nice feeling to experience that on my birthday. Although, I don't think they were completely wrong.

"So, who do you guys think will win?" I turn to Ron and Hermione.

"I believe in Harry, I think he has it in him to win any challenge that comes to him." Hermione says proudly as she starts to move away.

"Krum 100%, he's great at everything, at this point the challenge is to be as good as him" Ron chucked as I let out a small laugh.

"Hey, where are you going Hermione?" I ask as Hermione starts walking away.

"Nowhere, I'll be back soon" Hermione says as she walks away, strange.

Once I turn to Ron I realise something, something pinned onto his chest. "Potter stinks" the pin read.

"Ron, why are you wearing that?" I ask as I look down to the pin then back up to him.
"Cause potters a git and he should know it" Ron said in annoyance.

"It's not his fault his name got pulled out of that cup, he's your best friend" I replied. Ron was being extremely childish.

"His name wouldn't have got pulled out of that cup if he didn't put his name in it in the first place" Ron said, slightly raising his tone.
