As the days went by, Emily found herself falling deeper in love with Hadrian. She couldn't explain why, but there was something about him that drew her in. She loved the way he made her laugh, the way he always knew how to make her feel better when she was down, and the way he looked at her with such kindness in his eyes.
But despite her growing feelings, Emily couldn't shake the feeling that Hadrian was hiding something from her. She noticed that he would often get mysterious phone calls and texts, and he would always excuse himself to answer them. She also noticed that he seemed to be avoiding Alexa, who was growing more and more aggressive in her pursuit of him.
One day, Emily decided to confront Hadrain about her suspicions. She found him sitting alone in the school courtyard, staring at his phone with a look of concern on his face.
"Hadrain, can I talk to you?" Emily asked, sitting down beside him.
"Of course, Emily. What's up?" he replied, putting his phone away.
"I was just wondering...are you okay? You seem like something's bothering you lately," Emily said, looking at him with concern.
Hadrian sighed and rubbed his temples. "I'm just dealing with some stuff, Emily. Family stuff. It's nothing to worry about."
But Emily wasn't convinced. She knew that Hadrian was hiding something, and she was determined to find out what it was, but even as that, the memory of the brief intimacy they had in the hallway still made her smile.
"Is it something to do with Alexa?" Emily asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Hadrain's eyes snapped to hers, and for a moment, Emily thought she saw a flash of fear in them.
"What makes you ask that?" Hadrian replied, his voice neutral.
"I've just noticed that you seem to be avoiding her, and she seems angry with you. What's going on?" Emily pressed.
Hadrian sighed and stood up, pulling Emily to her feet. "Let's talk about this later, okay? I promise I'll tell you everything, but not here. Not now."
Emily nodded, feeling a sense of unease. She knew that Hadrian was hiding something, and she was determined to find out what it was. As they walked out of the courtyard, Emily couldn't shake the feeling that she was getting in over her head.
"Later, then," Emily said, looking up at Hadrian. "But you have to promise me one thing."
"What's that?" Hadrian asked, his eyes locked on hers.
"You have to promise me that you'll tell me the truth," Emily said, her voice firm. "No matter what it is, I want to know."
Hadrain's expression faltered for a moment before he nodded. "I promise, Emily. I'll tell you everything."
But as they walked away from the courtyard, Emily couldn't shake the feeling that Hadrian was still hiding something from her. And she was determined to find out what it was.
Meanwhile, Slyvia decided to join hands with Daniel to uncover the real agenda behind Ivory High, and surprisingly, they were working together fine, and both of them were getting closer to uncovering the secrets of Ivory High. They had discovered that the school was built on an ancient site, and that the Black Dragon symbol was a sign of dark magic but unfortunately magic wasn't real which seems absurd.
"This is getting weirder by the minute," Slyvia said, as they pored over ancient texts in the school library.
"I know," Daniel replied. "But we have to keep digging. We have to find out what's going on."
As they delved deeper into the mystery, they began to realize that they were in grave danger. They were playing with forces they didn't understand, and they didn't know who to trust.
