Chapter 48 The Astral world

          BACK AT THE CABIN

   Damian and Lamia were staring at each other in the room, Damian felt it getting more awkward how was he was going to start the conversation about his past ? The tension was building till Lamia snapped.

" Calm down Damian telling me your past and our history together is not the end of the world whatever might happen my feelings for you won't change, remember that love so calm your shit down and tell me what you know about Lucinda death and your past infact I want to hear everything."

Damian body was so tense but he knew this was the moment to let it all out to tell him everything, " okay but can you call in Catherine she needs to hear everything I am telling you right now because she is also part of our inner circle." Lamia was beyond pleased he let out a charming smile that brought his beauty the more and Damian became lost for some moments, if he loses Lamia again in this lifetime he will end his life himself.

Lamia went downstairs and by then the party has ended and he saw Cathy and Mina discussing and laughing Merrily he looked at Cathy calm demeanor this was all he ever wanted for her to have this peace of mind and not dwell in her past but it seems inevitable as the past came coming to them, they have no choice but to find the answers they needed in their past lives. Cathy who was so engrossed in her conversation saw Lamia positioned at a corner watching her she smiled, stopped at her conversation and approached Lamia.

" Any issues you looked lost." Cathy probed and Lamia held both her hands and placed it in his chest.

" Cathy we need to discuss, Damian is about to reveal his secrets and I want you to be there with me please can you come over." Lamia spoke sincerely that Cathy couldn't help but feel appreciated is that how much Lamia appreciated her and it felt so good.

" Okay so should I come now." Lamia nodded and Cathy followed him upstairs for the moment of revelation.

Damian on seeing the two sighed deeply, it was time he beckoned on them to seat on the nearby chairs available and he brought out the box Slyvia gave them .

" Lamia I know you desperately wanted to hear what became of your sister but I won't start from there , this story is our tale one that you completely forgot, one that your family wiped from your brain the memory of how me met the joy of it all." Damian moved closer to both Cathy and Lamia and he began muttering some words and a strange glow enveloped his hands coming brighter than before.

Lamia gasped he couldn't believe his eyes, here he was witnessing magic one that he was told was just tales told to entertain children, folktales and fabricated stuffs but here Damian was showing him proving it all wrong. Catherine on the other hand wasn't left out she was literally gasping for air, she was dumbfounded and amazed.

" Damian what the hell, how long have you been able to do this." Damian didn't respond and the powerful glow enveloped the whole room and a shining black mirror came into view.

Lamia was a little skeptical but he moved closer anyways to check out the mirror and placing his hands on it half of his hands passed through the mirror in an unnatural way. Lamia gasped and Damian took the medium to explain.

" This will transport you to our past lives, those memories which was erased and those which you never experienced will all be shown to us but it has a consequence we have to be back before 24 hours but Luckily for us I made it 72 hours because it's gonna be a long day." Lamia looked at the door.

" What about Mina won't she be worried if we waisted so much time in there." Damian just shrugged it off.

" Don't worry she knows what we are getting into so she won't interfere unless something happens and we weren't able to make it in our body in time but I doubt that because I have fortify the mirror to stand longer than intended." Damian spoke so confidently and Lamia turned to Cathy who was trying to process what she just saw, all her life she never thought something exciting would happen to her but here she was seeing what the world thought was fairytale and this made her wonder what was hidden in this their world because it was obvious nothing was as it seems.

Damian called out Lamia and Cathy,

"common guys it's time, we have to get going." Placing his hands on theirs the trio walked into the mirror and saw themselves in an astral place.

Lamia noticed that the floor looked like a glass bridge, it appears the mirror acted like a bridge and the mirror shattering will lead to the bridge collapsing untimely trapping them in the astral world .

" Guy whatever you do don't leave my side unless you would be forever lost, and Lamia whatever might happen don't take off the silver necklace I gave you." Lamia nodded and Cathy eyes went to the necklace and she gaped eyes wide as saucers were those not the infamous Silver necklace which has a strong backstory but it appearance and Lamia putting it on was surprising but why would she Damian was unpredictable.

Slowly they walked down the glowing glass bridge and their walk steps illuminated the hallway and after walking some minutes without any exit Cathy was about to complain when Damian sighted a door and he was exited wanting to open it but Lamia sensed a pulsing dark energy and it shocked him what was surprising was that it seems only him was feeling it, his companions were oblivious of it and the situation seems to be a trap so he rushed to Damian.

" Dammy don't open the door something isn't right don't you guys feel that energy it seems to be coming from somewhere close." Lamia spoke worry evident in his voice, but Damian stopped in his tracks and looked at the bridge which was transparent and saw that his eyes had transformed to a  bright shade of red and dark smoke seems to be oozing out from his body and it got Cathy attention who looked frightened like a cat but Lamia who was stunned by Damian appearance didn't flinch a bit.

He approached Damian and circled his waist, "Dammy my love look at me, don't feel inferior because of your powers, I may not know anything about you but I know that you're not evil and it seems the energy was coming from you due to the magical aura of this place but rest assured I am not afraid."

Damian was dumbfounded who the hell was this angel before him and why wasn't he afraid of his terrible powers, people in their right mind will flee on seeing his true form and it was evident in Catherine reaction, she was trembling so bad and he haven't even transformed to his true form yet.

" Lamia don't be deceived, I am evil and you will see my existence alone proves that I am from the darkest entity and here you are saying you are not afraid." Damian shock was unpalatable but Lamia hugged him for the last time.

" I think we have finally gotten this let us go in and see for ourselves what has been hidden all these years and whatever may happen I got your back and Cathy don't be afraid he's still our Damian." Lamia speech made Cathy relax a little and she came closer and after assessing themselves and seeing they were ready their walked to the door and Damian opened it flashing a bright white light that overshadowed the whole space....
