The night was colder than usual, the chill biting into their skin as they moved silently through the dense woods. The plan was simple enough—lure the shadows into a trap and take them out one by one—but nothing ever went as planned. And tonight was no different.

"Fucking hell, it's freezing," Violace muttered under his breath, his hands clenched into fists to keep them warm. The purple glow of his eyes cut through the darkness, his senses on high alert.

"Quit bitching," Kevin snapped, his voice barely above a whisper. He was tense, every muscle in his body ready to spring into action. "We've got bigger problems than the goddamn cold."

Enna was leading the group, her eyes scanning the trees for any sign of movement. She was exhausted, mentally and physically, but there was no room for weakness. Not tonight. "Everyone shut the fuck up and stay focused," she ordered, her voice sharp.

Violett, walking beside Enna, kept her gaze forward, her mind racing with every possible scenario that could go wrong. "If we don't see them coming, we're fucked," she said, her tone grim.

"We won't let that happen," Willow replied, though her voice was tight with anxiety. "We've got this."

As they approached the clearing where they planned to set the trap, Amy spoke up, her voice a little shaky. "I just hope we're not the ones being hunted here."

"Jesus Christ, Amy, could you be any more fucking cheerful?" Kevin growled, his patience wearing thin.

"Back off, Kevin," William said, stepping between them. "We're all on edge, no need to make it worse."

Kevin shot William a glare but didn't say anything else. They didn't have time for infighting; they were about to face off against something far worse than any argument.

They reached the clearing, and Enna motioned for everyone to take their positions. "We stick to the plan. No heroics, no stupid shit. We work as a team, or we're dead. Got it?"

"Yeah, yeah, we got it," Violace muttered, his hand hovering near the hilt of his sword. "Just let them fucking come already."

The minutes dragged on, the tension in the air thickening with every passing second. Then, finally, they heard it—a low, ominous rustling in the trees. The shadows were coming.

"Get ready," Enna hissed, her grip tightening on her weapon.

The first shadow appeared at the edge of the clearing, its form shifting and writhing like smoke. Then another, and another, until they were surrounded.

"Fuck," Violett whispered, her heart pounding in her chest.

"Stay calm," Kevin said, though his voice betrayed his own fear. "We've got this."

The shadows moved closer, their eyes glowing with a malevolent light. Enna raised her hand, signaling the team to hold their ground.

"Now!" she shouted.

The team sprang into action, attacking with everything they had. Violace's blade sliced through the air, cutting into the nearest shadow with a savage ferocity. "Die, you fucking bastard!" he yelled.

Violett unleashed a burst of energy, blasting a shadow into oblivion. "Take that, you piece of shit!" she screamed.

Kevin was in the thick of it, his fists glowing with power as he punched and kicked his way through the swarm. "Is that all you got? Come on, you fucking cowards!"

Willow was a blur of motion, her strikes precise and deadly. "Stay down, you fucking freaks!" she spat.

Amy, though scared out of her mind, fought with a fierce determination, her movements fueled by adrenaline. "Get away from me, you fucking monsters!"

William and Ethan were back-to-back, covering each other as they fought off the shadows. "Keep fighting, don't let them overwhelm us!" William shouted.

"We're not going down like this!" Ethan roared, his claws tearing through the shadows.

But despite their efforts, the shadows kept coming, relentless in their assault. For every one they took down, two more seemed to take its place.

"Shit, we're getting overwhelmed!" Violett cried, panic starting to creep into her voice.

"Don't fucking give up!" Enna yelled, slashing through another shadow. "We can't let them win!"

But it was clear they were losing ground. The shadows were too many, too strong. The plan was falling apart, and they were being pushed back, inch by inch.

"Fuck, we're not gonna make it," Kevin muttered, blood dripping from a gash on his arm.

"Don't you fucking dare say that!" Enna snapped, her eyes blazing with fury. "We're not done yet!"

But even as she said it, she knew they were running out of time. The shadows were closing in, their dark forms nearly surrounding the group.

"Everyone fall back!" Enna ordered, realizing they needed to regroup before they were completely overwhelmed.

But as they tried to retreat, the shadows surged forward, cutting them off. It was a nightmare scenario, and they were trapped.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Violace cursed, his eyes wide with fear. "We're fucking trapped!"

"Stay together!" Enna shouted, trying to keep the team from panicking. "We're not dead yet!"

But deep down, she knew they were in serious trouble. The shadows were too strong, too many. And unless something changed, they weren't getting out of this alive.
