The night was unnaturally quiet, the forest alive only with the soft rustling of leaves. Enna stood on the edge of the clearing, her black-furred Kitsune ears twitching as if trying to catch a sound that wasn't there. The others had gathered, too, feeling the same unsettling presence in the air.

Kevin stood close to her, his brow furrowed in frustration. "This isn't right. Something's coming," he muttered, his eyes scanning the shadows between the trees.

Ethan, standing a few steps behind them, shifted uneasily. "What's the plan? We can't just wait around for whatever's out there to make the first move."

"We don't have a choice," Enna said, her voice tense. "I don't know what it is, but something big is coming."

Suddenly, the air around them grew colder. A gust of wind swept through the clearing, carrying with it an oppressive energy that sent shivers down their spines. Violace unsheathed his sword, the blade gleaming under the moonlight. Violett, her Kitsune tails swaying, instinctively shifted into a defensive stance beside him.

Then, from the shadows, a figure began to emerge—tall, dark, and radiating an energy that was all too familiar. The team tensed, ready for battle, but Kevin froze.

"No..." he whispered under his breath, his eyes widening as the figure stepped fully into the light. It was a man, cloaked in shadows, but with an unmistakable resemblance to Kevin. His eyes were the same, though colder, and his expression twisted with malice.

The figure grinned. "Long time, brother."

The words hit Kevin like a punch to the gut. "What the hell...?" he stammered, stepping back.

"Brother?" Enna repeated, her eyes flicking between Kevin and the dark figure. "What's going on?"

The man stepped forward, his presence overwhelming. "I'm the shadow you tried to forget. The one you left behind."

"No," Kevin growled, his fists clenching. "You can't be..."

"I am," the figure replied, his grin widening. "I'm your brother, Kevin. The dark Terrabeast shadow. And I'm here to reclaim what's mine."

The others watched, shocked into silence. Violace finally broke it, his voice low. "What does he want?"

Kevin didn't answer. He couldn't tear his eyes away from the man who was supposed to be gone, erased from his life long ago. "You were dead," he finally managed. "We thought you were dead."

The man laughed, a cold, hollow sound. "Dead? No. Forgotten, maybe. But I've been alive, Kevin. And now, I've come to show you just how much you've failed."

Enna took a step forward, her voice firm. "If you're here to fight, you won't win."

The shadow brother's gaze shifted to her, and for a moment, he seemed intrigued. "Ah, Enna. The famous black Kitsune. You've done well for yourself. But I'm not here to fight just yet. No, I'm here to remind Kevin of what he's lost... and what he will lose."

The threat hung in the air, thick with tension. Kevin's fists were trembling now, but whether from anger or fear, no one could tell. His voice was tight when he spoke. "You have no idea what you're getting yourself into."

"Oh, I do," the shadow replied, his eyes gleaming with malice. "And soon enough, you'll see. I've already taken the first step. You'll find out soon enough what happens when you try to erase your own blood."

With that, the shadow began to fade, his form dissolving into the darkness like smoke. His final words echoed in the clearing, chilling them all to the bone. "We're not done, Kevin. Not by a long shot."

And then, he was gone.

For a moment, no one moved. The weight of what had just happened pressed down on them, leaving the group in stunned silence. Finally, it was Ethan who spoke, his voice shaking. "What the hell just happened?"

Kevin, still staring at the spot where his brother had vanished, swallowed hard. "We're in trouble," he muttered.

Enna placed a hand on his shoulder, her voice soft but steady. "We'll figure this out, Kevin. Together."

But Kevin shook his head, pulling away. "No. This is my problem. I'll deal with it."

The team exchanged worried glances, but they knew better than to push him right now. Whatever was coming, it was personal. And it wasn't over.
