The aftermath of the battle left the team battered and bruised, but the night wasn't over. They had barely managed to escape the onslaught of shadows, and now they were holed up in a makeshift shelter, trying to catch their breath.
Enna sat against the wall, wiping the sweat from her brow. Her mind was racing, replaying the fight over and over, trying to figure out where they went wrong. "We're missing something," she muttered to herself, her voice barely audible.
Across the room, Kevin was pacing, his face twisted in frustration. "We got our asses handed to us, that's what happened," he said, his tone bitter. "We need a new plan, or we're screwed."
Violace leaned back against a crate, his arms crossed over his chest. He had a nasty cut across his cheek, but he didn't seem to notice. "No shit, Sherlock," he replied, his voice laced with sarcasm. "The shadows are stronger than we thought."
Violett, sitting next to him, nodded in agreement. "And they're not just mindless beasts. They're coordinated, like someone's controlling them."
Willow, who had been quietly tending to Amy's wounds, looked up. "But who? Who would have the power to control something like that?"
William, who had been silent up until now, finally spoke. "I think I know," he said, his voice low and serious. All eyes turned to him as he continued. "It's Glitchtrap. I've seen this kind of dark magic before."
Amy looked at him, her face pale. "Glitchtrap? But we thought he was gone."
William shook his head. "We were wrong. He's been planning this, building his power in the shadows. And now he's coming for us."
Ethan, who had been brooding in the corner, finally spoke up. "So what do we do? How do we fight something like that?"
Enna sighed, running a hand through her hair. "We need to regroup, find a way to counter his magic. But we can't do it alone."
Kevin stopped pacing and turned to her. "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying we need allies," Enna replied, her voice firm. "If Glitchtrap is back, we're going to need all the help we can get."
Willow nodded in agreement. "But who? Who can we trust?"
"There are others out there," Enna said, her eyes narrowing in determination. "Other terrabeasts, other warriors. We need to find them, bring them to our side."
Violett frowned, uncertainty flickering in her eyes. "But what if they don't want to help? What if they're already under Glitchtrap's control?"
Enna shook her head. "We don't have a choice. If we don't at least try, we're dead. And the whole world goes down with us."
Kevin crossed his arms, his jaw clenched. "Alright, then. Let's find these allies. But if anyone tries to screw us over, they're dead."
Violace smirked, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous light. "I like the sound of that."
Willow gave them both a stern look. "Let's try to keep the killing to a minimum, okay?"
As the group began to discuss their next move, a sense of urgency hung in the air. They were in over their heads, but they weren't ready to give up. Not yet.
And as the night dragged on, Enna couldn't shake the feeling that something—or someone—was watching them.
