Chapter 16

A few days after Y/N had gifted Taehyung his dream car, the excitement surrounding it had not waned. Taehyung couldn't wait to show it off to his friends, eager to share his joy and celebrate the special gesture from Y/N. He decided to invite Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, RM, and Suga over for a casual get-together, with a special focus on unveiling the car.

The evening was set for a relaxed hangout. Taehyung and Y/N had prepared some snacks and drinks, and they eagerly awaited the arrival of their friends. The car was parked in the driveway, its sleek design gleaming under the soft lights of the apartment complex.

As the front door opened, the familiar faces of Taehyung's friends greeted him with their usual enthusiasm. Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, RM, and Suga entered the apartment, exchanging pleasantries and admiring the cozy setting.

"Hey, everyone! I've got something cool to show you," Taehyung said with a grin, leading them outside.

The group followed Taehyung, their curiosity piqued. When they reached the driveway and saw the car, their eyes widened in awe.

Jimin's gaze fixed on the car, his eyes narrowing in a mock-serious expression. "Wow, Taehyung, look at you! Showing off your new toy. I didn't realize you were living the high life now."

Jungkook chuckled beside him. "Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen you this excited about anything."

Taehyung laughed, his pride evident. "I know, right? Y/N surprised me with this. I still can't believe it."

Jimin pretended to sulk, crossing his arms dramatically. "Seriously though, I'm a little jealous. I thought I had the best taste in cars, but this—" he gestured to the sleek vehicle with a playful smirk, "—is next level."

Suga, sensing Jimin's playful tone, joined in with a grin. "Jealous, huh? Maybe you should get yourself one of these too. We wouldn't want you feeling left out."

Jin, ever the mediator, laughed and put a hand on Jimin's shoulder. "Come on, Jimin, don't be a sore loser. We all know you've got your own impressive taste in cars. This is just Taehyung's moment to shine."

Jimin's mock jealousy turned into genuine admiration as he walked around the car, inspecting its features. "Alright, alright. It's a beautiful car, I'll give you that. Just don't let it go to your head."

"Thank you all for celebrating this with me. It means a lot."

Everyone clinked their glasses, sharing in the celebratory mood. Jimin, still in a playful spirit, added, "And here's to not letting Taehyung's new car make us too jealous. Let's just hope it doesn't turn into a competition."

The group laughed, and the evening continued with jokes, stories, and heartfelt conversations. The playful rivalry and friendly teasing were all in good fun, and Taehyung felt grateful for the camaraderie and support of his friends.

As the night wound down, Taehyung and Y/N reflected on how much they enjoyed having their friends over. The teasing and playful banter had only added to the joy of the evening, making the celebration even more memorable.

Taehyung turned to Y/N, his eyes filled with warmth. "Thank you again for the car. And thank you for helping me share this moment with my friends. It's been perfect."

Y/N smiled, leaning into him. "I'm glad you're happy. And I wouldn't have it any other way."
