The aftermath of the proposal had left Y/N with a whirlwind of emotions. While the night at the park had been filled with its share of heartache and awkward moments, she found solace in the company of friends who understood her struggles. Jungkook and Jimin, sensing that Y/N might need support, decided to visit her the following day. They wanted to check in on her and offer a shoulder to lean on.
As they arrived at Y/N's apartment, they were greeted warmly but noticed that Y/N seemed distant. She invited them in and led them to the living room, where they settled on the couch. The apartment was quiet, save for the soft hum of the city outside.
Jungkook and Jimin made small talk to break the ice, but it was clear that Y/N had something on her mind. After a few minutes of casual conversation, Y/N took a deep breath and turned to Jungkook, her eyes reflecting a mixture of sadness and longing.
"Jungkook, I need to talk to you about something," Y/N began, her voice trembling slightly. "I know you and Jimin have been supportive through everything that's happened, and I appreciate that more than you know."
Jungkook looked at her with concern. "Of course, Y/N. What's going on?"
Y/N took a moment to gather her thoughts. The pain of her recent experiences and the complexity of her emotions were overwhelming, but she knew she needed to express her feelings.
"I still love Taehyung," she admitted, her voice breaking. "Even after everything, I have these feelings for him that I can't seem to shake. But he's hurt me so much. The way things ended, the way he just... walked away without hearing me out. It's been so hard."
Jungkook's eyes widened in surprise. He had sensed that Y/N was still processing her feelings for Taehyung but hadn't realized the depth of her emotions.
"Y/N, I had no idea you were still carrying such strong feelings for him," Jungkook said gently. "It's clear that you've been through a lot, and it's understandable that you're conflicted."
Jimin, who had been listening quietly, nodded in agreement. "Taehyung made some mistakes, and I know it's not easy to just forget about them. But it's also important to acknowledge how you're feeling and what you truly want."
Y/N's eyes filled with tears as she continued. "I don't want to go back to the way things were, but I can't help but remember the good times we had. The love we shared was real, and it's painful to think that it might all be for nothing."
Jungkook reached out and took Y/N's hand, offering comfort. "It's okay to still love him, Y/N. Emotions are complicated, and healing takes time. But you also need to think about what's best for you moving forward."
Jimin added, "And remember, you're not alone in this. We're here for you, and we want to help you through whatever you're dealing with."
Y/N wiped away her tears and took a deep breath. "I guess I've been so focused on moving forward and trying to make things work with Louis that I haven't fully dealt with my feelings for Taehyung. Seeing him yesterday with the pain in his eyes... it made me realize how much I still care about him."
Jungkook nodded thoughtfully. "It's important to process those feelings, but it's also important to think about what you want for your future. Taehyung's actions have consequences, and you need to take care of yourself first."
The conversation was cathartic for Y/N. She felt a weight lift off her shoulders as she shared her feelings with Jungkook and Jimin. Their support and understanding provided a sense of relief and clarity.
"I just want to figure out what's best for me and for Ara," Y/N said. "I need to heal and make decisions that will lead to happiness and stability for both of us."
