The excitement for Taehyung and Y/N's engagement party was palpable. The couple had decided to host a celebration that would bring together their closest friends and family, marking this special milestone in their journey together. The apartment was transformed into a festive space, adorned with elegant decorations and filled with the aroma of delicious food.

Y/N had spent weeks planning every detail, from the menu to the music, wanting to create a memorable evening for everyone. Taehyung, equally invested in making the event special, had arranged for a live band to play their favorite songs and a beautiful photo booth for guests to capture the moments.

As the evening approached, guests began arriving. Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, RM, and Suga were among the first to arrive, each bringing their flair to the party. The warm welcome they received set a joyful tone for the evening.

Y/N's cousin Minji, along with her sister Lily, were among the guests. Minji, who had always been close to Y/N, was excited to be a part of the celebration. However, Lily, who had always been envious of Y/N, was less enthusiastic but determined to make a statement.

When Minji and Lily arrived, the atmosphere in the room shifted slightly. Minji was radiant, eager to catch up with Y/N and enjoy the festivities. Lily, on the other hand, was dressed to impress and immediately set her sights on Taehyung.

Y/N greeted her cousin warmly. "Minji, Lily! I'm so glad you could make it."

Minji hugged Y/N tightly. "Congratulations! Everything looks amazing. I'm so happy for you."

Lily offered a polite smile but her eyes were already darting towards Taehyung, who was chatting with Jungkook and Jimin.

As the evening progressed, Lily began to make her way toward Taehyung, striking up a conversation. She leaned in a little too close, her body language indicating an interest that went beyond mere friendliness.

"Taehyung, right?" Lily said with a flirtatious smile. "I've heard so much about you from Y/N. You're even more charming in person."

Taehyung, sensing Lily's intentions, maintained his composure. "Thank you, Lily. It's nice to meet you. I hope you're enjoying the party."

Lily continued to flirt, complimenting Taehyung on his appearance and subtly implying that they had more in common than just their connection to Y/N. "You know, Y/N's always had such great taste. But I must say, I think you're quite a catch."

Taehyung remained polite but firm, clearly uncomfortable with Lily's advances. He was determined not to let her behavior ruin the celebration. "I appreciate the compliments, Lily, but I'm very much in love with Y/N. She means the world to me."

Lily's face flushed slightly, but she persisted. "Oh, I'm sure you two are very happy together. But it's always nice to have friends, don't you think?"

Taehyung, sensing the need to defuse the situation, decided to address Lily's behavior more directly. "Lily, I think it's important to respect boundaries, especially tonight. This is a special occasion for Y/N and me, and I would appreciate it if we could keep things respectful."

Minji, who had been watching the exchange with growing concern, approached Taehyung and Lily. "Lily, why don't we catch up later? Taehyung has been really busy, and I'm sure he'd like to spend some time with the other guests."

Lily's cheeks reddened further, her flirtatious demeanor giving way to embarrassment. "Oh, right. I'm sorry, Taehyung. I didn't mean to overstep."

As Lily walked away, Minji gave Taehyung an apologetic smile. "I'm really sorry about Lily. She can be a bit... forward sometimes."
