Next day Minji asks Taehyung to meet her.
"Taehyung," Minji began, her voice carrying a mix of resolve and concern, "there's something else you need to know. Y/N... she has a daughter. Your daughter."
Taehyung's heart skipped a beat. The words seemed to echo around him, and he struggled to comprehend the gravity of what Minji was telling him. "A daughter? Are you sure?"
Minji nodded solemnly. "Yes, her name is Ara. She looks just like you, Taehyung. Y/N never told you because she wanted to protect her from the pain and confusion of our family's issues."
Taehyung felt a rush of emotions shock, joy, fear, and a deep sense of responsibility. "Why are you telling me this now?"
Minji took a deep breath. "Because I don't want Ara to grow up without her father. She deserves to know who you are. And honestly, I can't bear the thought of her growing up without the chance to know her father. I will help you, but only because I want what's best for Ara."
Taehyung's mind raced. The reality of being a father hit him like a tidal wave. The image of a little girl who looked just like him flashed through his mind. He felt a profound sense of regret for not knowing about Ara sooner and for the pain his actions had caused Y/N.
Minji continued, her voice gentle but firm. "Y/N has a friend named Louis who has been helping her. Louis cares deeply for Y/N and Ara. He's been a supportive presence in their lives, and he's also quite fond of Y/N."
Taehyung's brows furrowed with concern. "Does Louis want to be more than just a friend to Y/N?"
"Yes," Minji confirmed. "Louis has strong feelings for her. I can't speak for Y/N's feelings towards him, but he has been a significant part of their lives. I'm worried about how things will be when you try to reconnect with them."
Taehyung nodded, understanding the complexities of the situation. "I appreciate your honesty, Minji. I need to meet Ara and make things right with Y/N. I want to be a part of Ara's life, no matter how difficult it might be."
Minji's expression softened. "I'll help you arrange a meeting with Y/N and Ara. It won't be easy, but it's important for Ara's future."
A few days later, with Minji's assistance, Taehyung arranged a meeting with Y/N. He was anxious and nervous, unsure of how to approach the situation. He knew that seeing Ara for the first time would be emotional and complicated, but he was determined to make amends.
Y/N agreed to meet Taehyung at a park near her home, a place where she and Ara often spent time together. Minji accompanied Taehyung, offering support and guidance as they approached the park.
When Taehyung saw Y/N and Ara approaching, his heart ached with a mixture of joy and sadness. Ara was a beautiful little girl, with striking features that reminded him so much of himself. She was holding Y/N's hand, her curious eyes scanning the park as they walked.
Y/N looked up and saw Taehyung standing there, his presence unexpected and emotional. She stopped in her tracks, her expression a mix of surprise and apprehension. "Taehyung," she said softly, her voice trembling.
Taehyung took a deep breath, trying to steady his emotions. "Y/N, I'm sorry for everything. I've learned the truth, and I've come to make things right. I want to be a part of Ara's life. I want to be her father."
Y/N's eyes filled with tears as she looked at Taehyung. "It's been so long, Taehyung. Ara has grown up without you, and she's been through so much."
Taehyung nodded, his voice filled with sincerity. "I understand. I regret not being there for her, and I'm here to make things right. I want to be a part of her life and support both of you."
