Lily's jealousy had always simmered beneath the surface, but after witnessing the deep love between Y/N and Taehyung, her envy boiled over. She couldn't stand the idea of her sister having everything she had ever wanted especially someone like Taehyung. When Mia approached her, expressing doubts about Y/N's faithfulness, Lily saw the perfect opportunity to drive a wedge between them.
Determined to sabotage their relationship, Lily concocted a devious plan. She knew that mere words wouldn't be enough to convince Taehyung that Y/N was cheating on him; she needed something more damning something undeniable. That's when the idea of creating fake evidence came to her.
Lily spent days meticulously editing photos, manipulating images of Y/N and Seungmin to make it appear as though they were more than just acquaintances. In one picture, she placed Y/N's face close to Seungmin's, making it look like they were sharing an intimate moment. In another, she altered their positions to suggest they were holding hands, and in the most incriminating image, she made it seem as if they were kissing.
With the fabricated images complete, Lily felt a twisted sense of satisfaction. She knew that once Taehyung saw these photos, there would be no doubt left in his mind. All she needed was to get them into the right hands.
Lily didn't waste any time. She quickly sent the doctored images to Mia, who had already been struggling with her own feelings of guilt and doubt. Mia, who was unaware that the photos were fake, was horrified when she saw them. The images seemed to confirm everything Lily had told her—Y/N was indeed cheating on Taehyung.
Torn between her loyalty to Taehyung and the undeniable "evidence" before her, Mia made the difficult decision to send the photos to Taehyung. She attached a message to them, her heart heavy with the burden of what she was about to do.
"Taehyung, I'm so sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you need to see this. I hope it's not true, but these pictures... they speak for themselves. Please be careful."
Mia pressed send, her stomach churning with unease. She didn't want to believe it, but the photos were so convincing that she felt she had no choice. She hoped that Taehyung would find a way to handle this, but deep down, she feared the worst.
Taehyung received the message from Mia while he was at work. He hesitated for a moment before opening it, his heart already heavy with the doubt and mistrust that had been building over the past few days. When he finally looked at the photos, his world shattered.
The images seemed so real, so irrefutable. His breath caught in his throat, and a cold sweat broke out across his skin as he stared at them. The woman he loved, the one he had trusted with his heart, was shown in intimate moments with Seungmin. The betrayal cut him deeply, like a knife twisting in his chest.
Taehyung's mind raced, his thoughts chaotic and disordered. He wanted to believe Y/N, to trust that she would never hurt him like this, but the photos were damning. Every insecurity, every fear he had ever had about not being enough for her, came rushing to the forefront of his mind.
Unable to stay at work, Taehyung left abruptly, heading home with a storm of emotions brewing inside him. Anger, pain, and confusion fought for dominance as he drove, the photos replaying in his mind over and over again.
When Taehyung arrived home, Y/N was there, waiting for him as usual. She smiled when she saw him, but the smile quickly faded when she noticed the dark expression on his face.
"Tae, what's wrong?" Y/N asked, her voice full of concern.
Taehyung couldn't look at her without feeling a surge of betrayal. He threw his phone onto the table, the images of her and Seungmin still displayed on the screen. "What the hell is this, Y/N?" he demanded, his voice shaking with emotion.
Y/N's heart dropped as she saw the photos. Her eyes widened in shock and disbelief. "Tae, these... these aren't real! I've never—"
"Don't lie to me!" Taehyung interrupted, his voice rising. "I've been hearing things for days now, and I didn't want to believe them, but how can I ignore this? How can I ignore the proof?"
Y/N's eyes filled with tears as she tried to reach out to him. "Tae, please, you have to believe me! I don't know where these pictures came from, but they're not real. I love you! Only you!"
Taehyung backed away from her, his heart breaking even more at the sight of her tears. "How can I believe you when everything points to the opposite? I thought you loved me, but clearly, I was wrong."
Y/N shook her head frantically, trying to make him see the truth. "No, Tae, you're not wrong! Someone's trying to sabotage us, to come between us! You have to trust me!"
But Taehyung was too hurt, too broken to listen. The pain of betrayal, real or imagined, was too much for him to bear. "I can't do this, Y/N," he said, his voice hollow. "I can't stay here, knowing that you might be lying to me."
"Tae, please don't do this," Y/N begged, her voice desperate.
But Taehyung's mind was made up. The images, the lies, the doubt—it was all too much. He couldn't stay in a relationship where trust had been shattered, no matter how much he loved her.
"Don't talk to them again," Taehyung said, his voice cold and final. "And I think it's best if you leave."
Y/N stared at him, her heart breaking into a million pieces. "Tae... please..."
But Taehyung turned away from her, unable to look at her any longer. The woman he loved, the life they had built together, everything was crumbling around him, and he didn't know how to stop it.
With tears streaming down her face, Y/N slowly gathered her things, each step feeling like a dagger to her heart. She didn't want to leave, didn't want to let go of the man she loved more than anything, but it was clear that Taehyung didn't want her there.
As she walked out the door, Y/N felt like she was leaving behind a part of herself. The home they had shared, the dreams they had built, everything was slipping away, and she didn't know how to fix it.
Taehyung stood in the empty apartment, his heart heavy with the weight of what had just happened. He had told Y/N to leave, but now that she was gone, the silence was deafening. The reality of what had just occurred hit him like a ton of bricks, and he sank onto the couch, burying his face in his hands.
He wanted to believe Y/N, wanted to trust her with every fiber of his being, but the images, the doubt, the betrayal it was all too much. The pain of losing her, of losing what they had, was unbearable, but he couldn't see a way forward.
Taehyung's mind was a mess of emotions, and he felt completely lost. The love of his life had just walked out the door, and he wasn't sure if he would ever be able to get her back.
