Taehyung's colleagues at the design firm where he worked were the first to notice the change. They had always admired his creativity and upbeat demeanor, but now, his presence was marked by a stark, almost palpable coldness.

"Taehyung, can we discuss the new project draft?" one of his coworkers asked as they approached his desk.

Taehyung barely looked up from his computer screen. "Just send me the notes. I'll review them."

The lack of eye contact and emotional engagement was striking. His coworkers exchanged worried glances but chose not to press further, respecting his apparent need for space.

His friends, Jimin, Jungkook, Suga and RM, were deeply concerned about him. They had witnessed Taehyung's struggle with Y/N and the complicated dynamics surrounding their relationship, but seeing him so withdrawn was disheartening.

One evening, as they gathered at their usual hangout spot, Jimin voiced his concerns. "Taehyung's been acting so distant lately. It's like he's shutting everyone out."

Jungkook nodded, sipping his drink thoughtfully. "I've noticed it too. He doesn't talk much, and when he does, it's just... not like him."

RM, always the mediator, suggested, "Maybe we should talk to him, see if he's willing to open up. He's clearly going through something, and isolating himself isn't helping."

The Confrontation

That night, as Taehyung returned home, he found his friends waiting for him in his apartment. The atmosphere was tense, and Taehyung immediately sensed that they were there to confront him about his behavior.

Jimin was the first to speak. "Taehyung, we're worried about you. You've been so distant and cold lately. We want to help, but we can't if you don't let us in."

Taehyung's eyes were tired, and he sat down heavily on the couch. "I don't need help," he said, his voice flat. "I'm just dealing with things on my own."

Jungkook tried a different approach. "You're not alone in this, Taehyung. We're your friends. Whatever you're going through, we want to be there for you."

Taehyung looked at them, his expression a mix of frustration and sadness. "It's not that simple. Things with Y/N... it's all a mess. I can't fix it, and I'm tired of trying."

The Depth of His Pain

Taehyung's friends listened in silence as he spoke. The pain in his voice was evident, and it became clear that his emotional turmoil went far beyond simple disagreements or misunderstandings. His struggles with Y/N, the fight with Louis, and the betrayal he felt had compounded into a deep-seated anguish.

RM, always perceptive, asked softly, "Do you think it would help to talk to Y/N about how you're feeling? Sometimes, confronting these emotions can help clear the air."

Taehyung shook his head. "I've tried. It's complicated, and I don't know if we can ever get back to where we were. I'm just... lost right now."

One chilly evening, Jungkook and Jimin decided to check on Taehyung, concerned by his recent withdrawal and erratic behavior. They arrived at his apartment only to find it empty. The place was dimly lit, and Taehyung's usually neat living space was in disarray.

Not finding him there, they decided to search the neighborhood, hoping to find any sign of their friend. They ventured through the streets, calling out his name, but there was no response.

As they walked down a quiet, dimly lit street, their hearts sank when they spotted a familiar figure slumped against a lamppost. Taehyung was sitting on the curb, a bottle of whiskey clutched in his hand. His eyes were glazed over, and he looked disheveled and lost.

Jimin's voice was laced with concern as he approached. "Taehyung! What are you doing here?"

Taehyung looked up, his expression one of surprise and resignation. "Hey, guys," he said, his voice slurred. "Justttt takinnng a breakkk."

Jungkook knelt beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "This isn't the way to handle things. You're not alone, Taehyung. We're here for you."

Taehyung's gaze shifted to the ground, his emotions evident despite the haze of alcohol. "I just... I don't know how to fix this. Everything feeeeels so messssssed upppppp."

Jimin sat down next to him, trying to offer comfort. "It's okay to feel lost, but you don't have to go through this alone. We care about you, Taehyung. You've been pushing everyone away, but we're here to help."

Taehyung looked at his friends, tears welling in his eyes. "I didn't want anyone to see me like this. I thought I could handle it on my own."

Jungkook shook his head. "No one expects you to handle everything by yourself. We're your friends. We want to support you, but you have to let us in."

Seeing Taehyung in such a vulnerable state was a wake-up call for Jimin and Jungkook. They realized that they needed to take immediate action to help their friend. They carefully helped Taehyung to his feet and guided him to Jimin's car.

"We're taking you home," Jimin said firmly. "You need to get some rest, and we'll figure out the next steps together."

Taehyung was too exhausted and emotional to resist. He allowed his friends to help him into the car and drive him back to Jimin's apartment. There, they helped him get settled in a guest room where he could sleep off the effects of the alcohol.
