Lily had heard about Mia from their mutual acquaintances at work. Sensing an opportunity to further her own agenda, Lily approached Mia one day during lunch. The two of them exchanged pleasantries before Lily got to the heart of the matter.

"So, Mia," Lily began, her tone casual but with a hint of malice, "I heard you used to be close with Taehyung."

Mia, who had been stirring her coffee, looked up, surprised that Lily knew about her past with Taehyung. "Yeah, we were friends back in school. We reconnected recently at work."

Lily leaned in, lowering her voice. "You know, Taehyung and my cousin's sister, Y/N, are married now. But things aren't always as perfect as they seem."

Mia's interest was piqued. "What do you mean?"

Lily smirked, a plan already forming in her mind. "I've seen Y/N with another guy—Seungmin. They're pretty close if you know what I mean. I wouldn't be surprised if something was going on between them."

Mia's eyes widened. "Are you saying Y/N is cheating on Taehyung?"

"Who knows?" Lily replied, shrugging as if she were merely speculating. "But I saw them together, and it didn't look innocent. Maybe you should tell Taehyung. He deserves to know, right?"

Mia hesitated, torn between her loyalty to Taehyung and the desire to protect him from potential heartbreak. "Are you sure about this? It could just be a misunderstanding."

Lily's expression turned serious, and she leaned even closer. "I'm certain. If you care about Taehyung at all, you should warn him before he gets hurt."

Later that evening, Mia couldn't shake the conversation with Lily from her mind. The thought of Taehyung being betrayed by Y/N gnawed at her. She knew it wasn't her place to interfere, but if what Lily said was true, Taehyung needed to know.

The next day at work, Mia found an opportunity to speak with Taehyung privately. She waited until their break and then approached him cautiously.

"Hey, Taehyung," Mia began, trying to keep her tone light despite the heavy topic. "Can we talk for a minute?"

Taehyung looked up from his desk, sensing the seriousness in her voice. "Sure, Mia. What's up?"

Mia took a deep breath, unsure of how to start. "I wasn't sure if I should say anything, but... I heard something that you might want to know."

Taehyung frowned, his concern growing. "What is it?"

"It's about Y/N," Mia said hesitantly. "I heard she's been spending a lot of time with someone else—Seungmin."

Taehyung's expression darkened at the mention of Seungmin's name. "What do you mean?"

Mia looked away, feeling guilty for what she was about to say, but somone words echoed in her mind. "I was told they were seen together... and it wasn't just friendly. They were... kissing."

Taehyung felt a sharp pain in his chest as Mia's words sank in. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Who told you this?" he demanded, his voice strained.

Mia hesitated, but then decided to be honest. "Someone said they saw them together and thought you should know."

Taehyung's heart pounded as anger and doubt flooded his mind. the thought of Y/N being unfaithful shook him to his core. "I need to talk to Y/N," he muttered, barely able to think straight.

That evening, when Taehyung returned home, he couldn't hide the storm brewing inside him. Y/N, who had been eagerly waiting for him, immediately noticed his tense demeanor.

"Tae, is everything okay?" she asked, concern evident in her voice.

Taehyung looked at her, his eyes filled with turmoil. "I don't know, Y/N. I need to ask you something."

Y/N's heart skipped a beat. "What is it?"

He took a deep breath, trying to keep his emotions in check. "I heard something today... something about you and Seungmin."

Y/N felt a cold shiver run down her spine. "What did you hear?"

"Mia told me that somone saw you and Seungmin... together. She said you were kissing," Taehyung's voice cracked slightly, betraying the pain he was feeling.

Y/N's eyes widened in shock, and she shook her head vehemently. "That's not true, Tae! I would never do that to you!"

Taehyung wanted to believe her, but the seed of doubt that Mia and taking root in his heart. "Why would someone lie about something like this?"

"Because they must be jealous!" Y/N cried, her voice trembling. " they are trying to ruin our relationship!"

Taehyung stared at Y/N, his mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. He loved her—he knew that much—but the thought of betrayal was too painful to dismiss easily. "Y/N... I want to believe you, but this is hard."

Tears welled up in Y/N's eyes, and she stepped closer to him, her voice desperate. "Please, Tae, you have to trust me. I love you. I would never hurt you like that."

Taehyung's resolve wavered as he saw the sincerity in her eyes, but the doubt lingered, festering inside him. "I need some time to think," he finally said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Y/N's heart shattered at his words, and she felt the distance between them growing. "Tae, please don't let them come between us," she pleaded.

But Taehyung couldn't answer her. He turned away, his mind too clouded by anger and pain to think clearly.

That night was one of the longest in Taehyung and Y/N's relationship. They lay in bed, back to back, neither of them able to sleep. The silence between them was deafening, filled with unspoken words and unresolved feelings.

Y/N's tears soaked her pillow as she silently cried, praying that Taehyung would realize the truth and that their love would overcome this trial. But Taehyung, consumed by doubt, felt a wall growing between them, one that he wasn't sure he could break down.

As the hours dragged on, the once warm and loving atmosphere of their home was replaced with coldness and uncertainty. The love they had fought so hard to protect was now under siege, and neither of them knew how to find their way back to each other.

When morning finally came, Y/N woke up to find Taehyung already gone. He had left early, avoiding the painful conversation they both knew they needed to have. She felt a pang of fear in her chest fear that their love might not survive this storm.
