At Home, Heartbroken

At home, laying in bed thinking about the whole ordeal at work makes me depress and lose motivation to do anything. I heard my phone ring and it's Mark. I haven't really taken much thought into what he asked me to do; to take a trip with him, but now that seems feasible.

"Hi, what's up, how are you doing? I haven't heard from you, is everything ok?"

"Everything is not ok. Mark, Jackie is a criminal. She was the one who sent someone to break into John's home and was also the one who was stealing the money and falsifying the documents with the help of another colleague. I can't be bothered, I'm so heartbroken, because I loved her."

"Say no more baby, I'm coming over. Just stop crying for me and relax."

He rang the bell, and I showed up at the door dressed in an oversized robe and tissues in my hands, my hair wasn't comb and I didn't even shower.

"Oh baby, you look terrible."

He lifted me up in his arms and took me upstairs to the shower. He made sure I showered and ate. He also made sure that I was relaxed before he asked me what happened at work.
