[Name] yawned and stretched their arms high above their head, a satisfied smile playing on their lips. They savored the feel of the fresh breeze against their cheeks, a welcome change from the stormy weather they had endured earlier even if it was fun playing with Gon. Standing beside Gon, they felt a sense of relief and contentment, enjoying the clear blue sky and the sounds of seagulls that replaced the heavy rainstorm from earlier.

They still couldn't believe they were living outside their clan compound.

Kurapika and Leorio stood next to them, their expressions reflecting a similar sense of relief.

"Okay," the Captain's voice cut through the light chatter, drawing everyone's attention. His tone was firm yet kind. "I'll take responsibility for bringing you three to the port closest to the exam site."

The announcement sparked visible excitement among the examinees. [Name] couldn't help but let out a cheerful shout. "Yay!" They threw their hands up in the air, turning to Gon, who was grinning widely at their shared enthusiasm.

The ship, having battled through the storm, finally reached its destination: Dolle Harbor. As the vessel approached the dock, the clear sky and the calm waters signaled a fresh start, and the examinees prepared for the next leg of their journey with renewed energy and anticipation.

"So cool..." [Name] whispered, their eyes wide with curiosity as they took in the bustling scene of Dolle Harbor. They stood beside Gon, who was equally fascinated by the lively port. Meanwhile, Kurapika and Leorio had already disembarked, heading off to gather information about the next location for the Hunter Exam.

"Thanks, Captain!" Gon said with enthusiasm, shaking hands with the Captain.

"Thank you, sir," [Name] added, bowing respectfully, their manners clearly reflecting the way they were raised.

The Captain chuckled warmly. "I had a great time with you kids!"

"We had fun, too," [Name] said with a bright smile, and Gon nodded in agreement.

The Captain's eyes twinkled with satisfaction. He removed the cigar from his mouth, puffing out a cloud of smoke as he spoke. "As a token of my appreciation, I'll give you two some advice."

Excitement sparkled in the eyes of both children as they eagerly awaited the Captain's words. The Captain couldn't help but laugh at their anticipation, his enjoyment evident in his hearty chuckle.

"Advice?" [Name] asked, their curiosity piqued.

The Captain nodded sagely, turning to point towards the distance. "Look. See that big cedar tree on the hilltop?"

The two children followed his gesture and spotted the towering tree standing majestically against the horizon.

"Yup."

"Uh-huh."

"That tree is important," the Captain said, his tone serious. "You should head there first. It's a shortcut to the exam site."

"Woah..." [Name] said, astonished. They hadn't expected the exam location to be linked with a tree.

"A shortcut?" Gon asked, tilting his head. After a moment of thought, he nodded. "Got it! We'll head for the tree, Captain. Thank you!"

[Name] hummed in agreement, giving the Captain a grateful smile. The Captain's face lit up with a warm smile in response, and [Name] couldn't help but giggle at the gesture.

Gon glanced at [Name], noticing their reaction and making them turn slightly red. [Name] quickly averted their gaze, feeling a bit embarrassed. Gon, noticing the shy reaction, smiled warmly and then turned back to the Captain. He almost missed the soft, approving look on the Captain's face as he watched the two children interact.
