The introductory days that changed everything

For the introductory days, we hiked to a castle with our class- and another teacher to spend the night there. It was a really difficult time for me because I am a very quiet person and didn't know who to talk to. So I stayed alone and was constantly thinking about what I should do to make friends, as it would be difficult to get through school without them. At the beginning of the hike, I talked to the teachers, as I had known Ms. Fairy for a long time. We talked about whether I would take part in volleyball. At that point I was very convinced, but that opinion changed the next week, but I'll come back to that later. I talked a bit more about volleyball because I am an enthusiastic volleyball player, which is why I decided to go to the sports school. One day I want to be a professional and I'll do every

thing for that. Back to the hike, we finally arrived and the teacher told us the room layout and we went to our rooms. Even then, I still didn't know what to do to find someone, as the first groups had already formed.

A little later, the teachers organized games so that we could get to know each other better. After these games, we were allowed to keep ourselves busy, but I didn't know what to do. So I just went to five people who were playing table tennis. Somehow, something came up and I was able to talk to them and play along. And so it happened, I got on quite well with the two girls and the three boys and we spent time together.

Meanwhile, Ms. Fairy and Mr. Hunter were sitting on a bench talking. I could already sense a certain feeling about Mr. Hunter and I liked him from that moment on and I knew he was special. He gave me the same feeling that my trainer had given me from the start.

It was evening and we were going to have a bonfire, because I'm in the volunteer fire department, the teachers told me to start the fire. With a little help from the teachers, the fire was lit and Mrs. Fairy said that I deserved a round of applause. Then we all sat around the campfire together, after which most of us went to play or to our rooms. I preferred to stay by the fire and just talk to the teachers from time to time. That's how the day ended. On the second day we went to a mine. It still wasn't that easy for me, but every now and then I had someone and I wasn't completely alone for the time being, and so the first week of school came to an end.
