Chapter Eight: TAP

I am waiting for Candice here at the entrance of Thrillsville Amusement Park. This is the best amusement park in the country and has extreme rides that can separate your soul in your body. Candice's the one who suggested this place after the day she asked me to have a date with her.

Nagtataka lang ako dahil sa tuwing klase ni Miss Montivera sa amin ay lagi hindi maipinta ang mukha nito. After she saw Candice and I talking outside in her class she started to become more strict and easily get mad about something. And you know what's the most horrible? Ako lang naman ang pinag iinitan niya ng ulo.

She always called my name during recitations and the questions she always asked me were the difficult ones that no one in the class knew the answer to. Alam ko naman na gusto ako pahiyain ni Miss Montivera sa klase pero nagkamali ata siya ng tinarget na estudyante. I always find ways to answer her problems because I habitually do advanced reading and study all my subjects before class.

Kapag naalala ko ang nadamay kong lalaki na kaklase dahil gusto lang naman niya pumunta sa banyo ay nasigawan at pinagsagot pa siya ni Miss Montivera sa harap. Bulong bulongan ng mga kaklase ko ay mukhang LQ daw si Ma'am Montivera at ang boyfriend nito. Sino ba ang boyfriend ni Ma'am? Yung Clydell ba?

I forgot his name when we met outside of the office of Professor Montivera. Besides, I'm not interested in him tho.

"Hi, babe!" Hindi ko napansin si Candice na nandito na pala ang lalim kasi ng iniisip ko.

"I'm sorry for being late, sobrang traffic talaga kanina. Did you wait too long?" Candice hugged me.

Kumalas ako agad sa kanya. "No, kakarating ko lang din."

"Gosh! I thought you waited for me that long e! Let's go inside so we can have fun already!" Hila hila ako nito sa kamay hanggang makapasok kami sa loob.

There's a lot of people inside, as I expected. Pumunta muna kami sa ipinagmamalaki nilang Speed Demon ayon daw kasi ang rides na nakakatakot dahil sa sobrang bilis parang mabilis mo na rin makikita si Satan.

I heard the people riding that ride almost scream their lungs out. Pumila kami at nag hintay hanggang matapos ang mga nauna sa amin makasakay. Nang matapos ay nakita ko ang iba ay nahihilo pagbaba ang iba ay nasusuka, umiiyak at may nagsasabi pa na first and last na raw nila iyon.

I gulped in fear. Ganun ba talaga 'yon nakakatakot?

"Hey, you're shaking, Tell me if you don't want to ride that. May iba pa naman na rides dito." Nagulat ako ng malaman niya nanginginig na ako, ngayon ko lang din nalaman na we're holding hands.

I shake my head. "I'm fine, don't mind me. Nanginginig lang ako sa saya hindi sa kaba, basic lang 'yan." I assured her and gave her a small smile.

"AHHHHHH!! HOLY SHIT!! FUCK AYOKO NA!!! IBABA NYO NA AKO!!!! POTA!!!!! KUYA STOP THIS RIDE!! AYOKO NA!!! MAMA KO!!!!" I keep screaming. I feel like my lungs, heart and also my soul wants to leave my body. I didn't even dare to open my eyes and look down because I swear if I saw it I would cry in fear of it.

Bumalik ang kaluluwa ko sa katawan nang matapos ang ride. I looked at Candice and she was still laughing at me, my face became red because of embarrassment. Bumaba na kami at naglakad na paalis sa ride na 'yon.

Yet, she is still laughing and I'm guessing if her stomach is hurting now because of too much laughing nonstop.

"Stop laughing, it's not funny." I rolled my eyes.

"Sino hindi matatawa sa mga sinabi mo kanina? You are screaming as if this is your last day on earth! You even called your Mom and your 'Kuya, stop this ride' also got me." Tumawa na naman siya.

Hindi ko nalang siya pinansin at binilisan ang lakad, leaving her behind.

Pumunta ako sa vendor na nagtitinda ng corn dog it looks delicious because of the smell. I ordered two corn dogs, one for me and one for Candice.

Naglakad ako at sinubukan hanapin si Candice gusto ko sana ibigay 'tong binili ko sa kanya dahil masarap kainin kapag mainit pa, pero hindi ko siya mahagilap sa sobrang daming tao. Saan naman pumunta ang babaeng 'yon?

Halos mapatay ko ang taong bumangga sa akin ng malakas dahilan para mahulog ang hawak kong pagkain.

"Hey! What the fuck?! Are you stu-"

I cut off when I realized she's Professor Montivera.

"I'm sorry, I-" Hindi rin natuloy ang sinasabi niya nang makilala ako. Ano ginawa niya rito?

Tinignan ko ang hawak niya. It's three corn dogs. Bago pa siya mag paliwanag ay may tumakbong batang lalaki sa kanya I think the kid was seven or eight years old. He has looks and green eyes like the woman in front of me.

"Mammy! It's that for me?" The kid cutely asked.

What the.. May anak siya?!
