As me and Lloyd stood at the bar, I scanned the ballroom.
I spotted a lot of drunk people dancing and talking, seeing a familiar face in the corner of my eye.

"What's Kai doing?" I ask Lloyd, pointing towards Kai, who was talking to five girls that looked taken away by his story.
"Gaining information, in his own way." He answered chuckling.

"I should try that." I said looking over at Kai using his charms.

"Try what?" Lloyd said as he raised his eyebrows at me. "Two fire whiskeys please." He told the bartender.

"You know, flirt." I said and I smirked at him, getting an annoyed look in response.
"No way in hell you're doing that." He said shaking his head.

The girl behind the bar handed us two drinks and Lloyd reached out money, what she denied.
"No need for that sir, all drinks are free tonight." The girl replied, placing her hand beneath her chin looking Lloyd up and down.

"Oh really, and why's that darling?" He asked giving the woman a big smile, what really pisses me off.

"Don't you know, the host assumes all the costs." She giggles.

I watched the conversation evolve in disgust, he was such a hypocrite!

"Who's the host?" Lloyd asked looking down at the woman behind the bar.
"Don't you know, he's very famous around here." She told him.

"Yeah, yeah ofcourse." Lloyd clears his throat. "Remind me of his name again?"

"Whitlock, Astor Whitlock." She said biting her bottom lip try harding to look good.
"Ah I see, is there any chance I could meet this man?" Lloyd asked her.

"Depends, he's most of the time working with clients, handling his business." She said looking down on him with a smirk.

"And what's his business?" He asked her, looking straight into her eyes.
It was almost the same look he gave me, what annoyed the hell out of me. Lloyd seemed to notice, he gave my hand a light squeeze and pulled me closer towards him.

"You seem to be asking a lot of questions handsome. I assume everyone here knows him, strange that you don't." She said raising her eyebrow, before side eyeing me.

"You're right, we're only plus ones anyway. Just here to have fun." He instantly lies with ease.
"Anyway, we better be off now. Thank you for the drinks."

Lloyd handed me a drink and we sat at a table on the side, "Alright guys, time to regroup." He spoke in the comms.

"We have a small problem I'm afraid." I heard Jay say and I started to feel stressed, giving Lloyd a worried look.

"What's wrong." I asked, pressing the comm in my ear.
"Kai talked to a girl with a short tempered boyfriend, and he doesn't seem very friendly." Jay stuttered, I looked around the room for any sign of Kai.

"They're outside now, we'll keep an eye out and jump in if he takes it to far." Zane added.
"Knowing Kai he will." Jay added.
