I walk around the village I grew up in and look around, the light of the moon hitting my face.
It still consisted of ruins, a few walls and trees were still intact.
I took a deep breath and started walking towards the centre of the place, hoping to encounter a certain person there.
I sat down at the bench, but there was no one to be seen or heard, the only sound came from the bird in the tree behind me.

"You came." I suddenly heard a voice and looked around, seeing a figure slowly appear in front of me.
"Jake?" I asked as the masked man standing in front of me, he raised his hand towards his face.

I saw his fingers lift the mask, slowly tilting it up and revealing his face.
I met the sight of fair skin, dark grey eyes and a large scar that ran from his eyebrow towards his cheek.
It was indeed him, Jake. The boy I had known all my life, who I thought I had lost for the last months.

He didn't say anything and looked at me, while I was stroked with confusion.
I already had a feeling it was him for a while, but now seeing it was true made me mad.
"How- how did you.." I started but he interrupted me.
"How did I survive?" He asked and I gave him a nod, hoping for him to answer.

"I want you to forgive me for my following words y/n, but I have to say I was one behind the invasion all those months ago." Jake coldly spoke as he looked down on me.
Me head was screaming from within, my emotions out of control.

He is responsible for ruining my life? Killing my family? Destroying my house? My town? My home?
I didn't know what to do and let my strongest emotion take over, anger.

I pulled out the dagger from my pocket with my good arm and came running towards him, but he seemed prepared.
He held a small sword, blocking every hit of mine.
"Why Jake? Why?" I cried out, my voice high pitched as I tried to stab him.

"I had no other choice, y/n you have to understand." He spoke in between avoiding my hits fueled with anger.
"No I don't understand! There's always a choice Jake!" I screamed at him, being extremely unhappy with his pathetic answer.

"You have no idea what your father kept in your house did you?" He coldly asked, standing still.
I gave him a questioning look and he continued.
"Your father took the parchment from the underworld, I did what was needed to posses it." He continued and I fell quiet.

He didn't say anything but gave me a look of pity.
"You killed everyone for a piece of paper?" I asked as I fell down the ground in despair and confusion, not understanding why he did this to me.

Jake took a few steps back, not fighting me. He didn't take the chance to hurt me, maybe he did feel bad.
"I saved your life back then y/n." He softly replied, but I couldn't understand his answer.

"You think I'd be happy to live a life without you? Without my parents? With nothing left?" I tried to speak, but my voice was hurting.

"I'll be with you again, like old times." He spoke, waiting for me to answer. "Join me, y/n." He added, reaching me out a hand.
"Why would I?" I asked as I looked up to the man in front of me, who I once so badly trusted.

"To bring back my brother." He answered coldly.
"And then what? What will your brother do?" I asked, knowing it couldn't be good.

"We will rule Ninjago by fear, controlling everyone." Jake said and I saw an disgusting smirk appear on his face, I watched it happen in fear.
This wasn't the Jake I knew, he seemed possessed and influenced by his brother.

"That's not something Jake would've wanted." I say as I get up on my own, trying to support my left arm as much as I could.
He started laughing, a deep low laugh that scared the hell out of me.

"Good thing I'm not Jake anymore, I'm Astor. And I obey the future emperor of Ninjago." He spoke but when he noticed I wasn't going to join him, he looked angry.

"I won't." I say giving Astor a daring look while pointing out my dagger.
"But y/n, you'll be all alone without me.." he said putting on a soft voice, trying his best to manipulate me.

"I don't need you, and I'm not alone." I spoke and I saw Astor come rusting towards me with his sword, clearly unhappy with my answer.

I felt a sudden itch in my arm, I realized I wasn't in state to fight. Risking it now wasn't worth it, the others didn't know where I went.
"Goodbye Jake." I told Astor, facing him as he started running towards me. Knowing that before he could hit me I would be gone, and I was.

I stood before the monastery and sat on the ground, trying to understand what had just happened.
My ex best friend had turned evil due to his brother who has passed away, it hurts me to see how much he had changed.
He became a bad person, who had killed hundreds of people during it.

I wiped a tear from my face, not even knowing what emotion it came from. I felt everything at the same time, anger, sadness and even a little bit of relief. Because even though he was a danger now, I knew my best friend was still out there somewhere and he survived.
I got up and started to wonder if I'd ever get him back.

Walking slowly inside I heard voices, sounding worried.
"You are not going out there, how the hell would you find her? She could be anywhere?" I recognized Cole's voice.
"Don't you know what could happen? It's obviously a trap and she's no match against all of them!" I heard Lloyd say.
"Clearly you don't know her, she's strong and can get back here on her own as fast as she has left." Kai spoke.
"Don't tell me I don't know her, I do. But she is damn injured!" Lloyd answered.

"Ninja never leave other ninja behind, I'm with Lloyd on this one. But if he goes, we all go." Nya said.
"Actually she left us behind, but I'm in." Jay added.

"I hate to cancel the plans but I'm right here." I softly said leaning against the door frame.
They turned to look at me, their faces lighting up.
"Y/n!" Nya came hugging me before she came to her senses and pushed me back, "why the hell didn't you tell us you left?"

"How did you know I did?" I asked as sat down in exhaustion.
"You weren't in your bed when I went to sleep, then I found a weird note and started to worry." She began, "where have you been?" Lloyd immediately asked after.

I let out a sigh and explained everything that had happened, causing my six teammates around me to gasp.

"That's horrible y/n, how are you feeling?" Zane asked and I smiled at his sweetness.
"I'm fine I think, thank you."

"Fuck, doesn't that mean he has two of the five parchments already." Kai spoke, combing his hands trough his hair.

"As long as we keep him away from the other three it will be fine, right?" Jay tried to reassure the rest who were still worried.

"I hope so." I spoke, still having to recover from all of this.

"We know he's coming and we'll make sure to be ready, training starts tomorrow at dawn." Lloyd spoke with courage.

"You begin to sound a little like your uncle greenie." Kai laughed as everyone joined and agreed, hoping we will stop him when the time comes.

After a while of talking we decided it'd be best to head to bed, knowing Lloyd made training start early tomorrow.
