"Hey, Sannie." Wooyoung mumbled, walking into their home with Seonghwa, Hongjoong, and Ace behind him.
"Hey." He slowly replied, trying to figure out why his husband looked like he just ran through a fire. "You okay?"
"They need to stay in the guest room for a while."
"Okay, no problem."
"Thank you." Seonghwa said to San.
"So...what's going on?"
"We'll talk in a few. Let me just get them settled." Wooyoung kissed his husband on the cheek, then led the couple to their room. "Make yourself at home, I guess." He sighed. "Take whatever you need from our closets, the food in the fridge is yours. I'll go out and buy stuff for Ace so you don't have to worry. I know he's still being trained so it's okay if he-"
"Wooyoung." Seonghwa stopped him with kind eyes and a soft smile. "You're okay and so are we."
"I just feel terrible." He quietly stressed.
"Things can be replaced, it's alright. We're all alive, that's what matters."
"Not all of us."
Seonghwa frowned, remembering Yuna.
"You know, you really made your point."
"What do you mean?"
"About our conversation earlier. Giving her the Miraclo crossed my mind for a second, but I didn't say anything. Because you're right - I wouldn't have given it to just anyone. But I know you would've. You're a good leader, Wooyoung."
"No, I'm not." He shook his head. "I should've listened to you."
"And you did. Because of it, we got Hongjoong and Ace out of there. If we left any later, they would've been trapped inside."
"Yeah, you did that. I passed out like a loser."
"Because you were running around the entire time, looking through every single room to make sure no one was left behind. You ran inside without hesitating for a second. So thank you for doing your best, and thank you for giving us a place to stay."
"Of course."
Wooyoung left the room and went to his own to find San lying on the bed. He quickly joined and cuddled close, feeling relaxed for the first time all day.
"I got you, baby." San whispered, holding his husband close. He always knew when Wooyoung was in a vulnerable state.
"Yuna was killed."
"Shit." San knew how hard Wooyoung would take any sort of loss from the team. As the leader, he felt responsible for every single beating heart.
"They came to the house."
"Who? The Serpent Corps?"
Wooyoung nodded. "Lia killed one of them so they set it on fire. The entire mansion is in ashes."
"Where did everyone go?"
"Hongjoong went to the safe and took Ace with him. It's completely fireproof so it's all in tact."
"I'm guessing we have to go back there then."
"To get the Park fortune? Yup. We also need to go to the pet store to get stuff for Ace."
"Not until you shower. Did you go into the house?"
"When it was on fire? Then I passed out? Yes."
"Oh my god." San held Wooyoung close, keeping a protective hand on the back of his head.
