"Tell me, how do you want this to go?" Jungkook smiled, putting another bullet in Wooyoung's leg.
"Don't care." He could hardly speak above a whisper. Never in his life had he ever experienced such pain.
"Well, the Datura doesn't work on you so that's a shame. How about I just keep shooting you until you bleed out?" He pulled the trigger, watching as blood began to spill out the side of the leader's mouth.
"Where's...San?" He was struggling to breathe, especially now that he was just shot in the lung.
"You really think he was able to fight off that Datura? He's been long gone." Jungkook laughed.
Although Wooyoung kept a still expression, tears fell down his cheeks slowly.
"Then leave me here to die."
He felt like a failure. It made him realize that Seonghwa was right - he was never fit to be the leader of this team.
"I'd rather not." Jungkook scrunched his nose and shook his head. "But at the same time, maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing. Everyone left you here, do you realize that? No one came looking for you. They all ran and didn't care whether you lived or died."
"That's okay." He faintly smiled. "They need to worry about the clone. Felix or Yunho will probably be a better leader, I'm sure of it."
"Clearly, since you won't even fight for your life."
"I have no reason to anymore."
"Then as your last breath on Earth, use your words to tell me where you want me to shoot you dead."
"Right in my heart." Wooyoung replied, anticipating the sharp pain.
As the barrel of the gun pressed against his chest, he closed his eyes.
"I'm going to fucking kill you!" Already believing his best friend was dead, he threw a sharp dagger given to him by his sister, directly at Jungkook's face. He fell over, now completely lifeless. "Wooyoung!" Hyunjin started to panic, watching him bleed out on the ground.
"Get the Miraclo, I'm not fucking dying today." He replied, choking on the blood trapped in his lungs.
Hyunjin sprinted towards the safe as fast as he could. There was no time to waste - he needed to act quickly.
"Seonghwa!" He shouted. "What's the code?"
"Why?" The CEO mumbled.
"What's the fucking code?" He was beginning to lose his patience.
"1107."
Hyunjin's hands wouldn't stop shaking as he put in the code and watched as the safe opened. He didn't care about any of the money or the diamonds. All he wanted was that Miraclo for his best friend.
"Where is it?" He was feeling sick to his stomach as he frantically searched. "Seonghwa, where is it?" Once he started to hyperventilate, Yeji held her sword up to the CEO's neck. She wasn't about to let Wooyoung die, for this team's sake as well as her brother's.
Hongjoong knew why his husband was hesitant, but if there was anyone that deserved the Miraclo, it was Wooyoung.
"Here." The captain walked inside the large safe, knowing where the chemical was hidden. "Go."
Hyunjin ran off with the small vile and made his way back to Wooyoung. But it seemed like he was too late.
"No, wake the fuck up." He didn't want to get emotional so quickly, in hopes there was still a chance. "You can't die on me, you asshole." When Hyunjin poured the Miraclo into his best friend's mouth, he was hoping for an immediate reaction. "Wooyoungie, please."
"Hyunjin." Felix softly said, putting his hand on his shoulder.
"No, just give it a minute. He'll be fine."
"Baby, he's gone." He whispered, wrapping his arms around him as he cried.
"This isn't fair!" He screamed as tears streamed down his cheeks. "Minho survived, Jisung survived. Why not him? Why?"
"Maybe it lost its touch because it's old, I don't know." Felix tried his best to stay calm, but he was broken inside. "Breathe, Hyunjin, breathe." His own tears escaped as he held his boyfriend close. He knew exactly how this felt. He'll never forget when Minho shot Jisung right in front of him.
Hyunjin heard the footsteps behind them, meaning everyone was witnessing what was happening.
"I'm sorry." Seonghwa mumbled. Hearing his voice suddenly infuriated Hyunjin.
He got out of Felix's hold, then pushed the CEO to the ground and started throwing punches at his face, completely blinded by rage.
"This is your fault!" He screamed.
"Hyunjin." Yeji called out but didn't physically try to stop him. She was too distracted by what was happening in front of her. "Hyunjin."
"That shit must've been expired or something, yuck."
Hyunjin snapped his head up and turned around at the speed of light to see his best friend alive.
"Oh my god." He crashed into Wooyoung's arms, almost knocking him over.
"I need a fucking hospital." The leader laughed, hugging Hyunjin back.
"We can take you back to our base." Karina said. "We'll help you there."
"I didn't think it worked." Hyunjin sniffled, unwilling to let go.
"Well, thank god it did. Once Jungkook started shooting at me, that was my plan from the start." Wooyoung replied.
"To die?"
"Pretty much."
Mingi picked the leader up and carried him to the van. There wasn't much time to stand around and chat while Wooyoung had about fifteen bullets in him.
Everyone followed behind, including Seonghwa once Hongjoong helped him off the ground. He knew he deserved it, especially since no one tried to stop Hyunjin. Although he knew Wooyoung should've gotten the Miraclo, he only wanted it to be used for his husband.
Wooyoung, Hyunjin, Felix, Yeji, Mingi, and Yunho all left together in one of the equipment vans. They felt the need to stay close together and have a conversation.
"Hold still." Felix mumbled, trying to get a head start by carefully pulling out the bullets. "Hold him down." He said to the siblings. Yeji pushed his legs down as Hyunjin held his hands while keeping Wooyoung's head on his lap. The leader screamed in pain, making Mingi jump as he drove.
"You know, Jungkook told me San was dead." He started to laugh, but no one understood how that could possibly be funny. "What a fucking liar."
"Are you sure?" Yunho awkwardly replied, turning around in the passenger seat.
"He's a shit liar. He was just trying to get a rise out of me. So I figured I'd let him kill me, and hopefully, someone would come running my way."
"Yeah, me." Hyunjin smiled as Wooyoung squeezed his hands tightly while Felix took out another bullet. "A very justified first kill."
"That was your first?" Yeji asked her brother.
"Yup." He nodded. "How is that surprising?"
"Yeah, I'm not sure why I reacted like that either." She laughed.
"What's the new plan?" Mingi asked.
"The same as it's been." Wooyoung replied. "Find San and Jisung."
