"San, can you hear me?" Jisung had continuously tried all he could to make him snap out of it, but the Datura still had its hold. He was genuinely afraid for his friend.
"Please, stop." San trembled in agony as he gripped tightly onto his hair with his knees against his chest.
They'd been caught and taken to an unknown location. But wherever it was, it wasn't anywhere near the mansion site.
"San, it's not real." Jisung stressed, wishing he knew how to help. Once he figured out the toxin being used against them was his own creation, it didn't take long for him to break free from the effects.
"I really wasn't expecting to catch a couple of rats today, that's for sure." A man smiled, looking at the two behind the caged wall. "You did me a massive favor, so thank you."
"What are you talking about? Who are you?"
"You can still get DNA from a pile of bones apparently."
"No." Jisung panicked. "Don't go anywhere near that."
"It's a little too late."
"Boss." Another man ran to his side. "It's a match. It's Lee Minho."
"Tell Jungkook and Taehyung to get to work."
"Wait, you want to bring Minho back?" Jisung's heart pounded out of his chest. He was at war with himself. "Let me help you."
"Excuse me?"
"I'm his ex, and I'm also the one that created the Datura. That's what you used on us, right? Yeah, that's all me. Just let me out of here."
"And what about your friend?"
"Every man for himself."
The unnamed boss smiled, liking the sound of that, so he set him free and left San to suffer.
"Follow me."
Jisung looked back at San with apologetic eyes. He had a plan, and this time, he would make sure none of his friends died in the process.
"So what's your name?"
"Yuta." He replied. "And yours?"
"Han Jisung."
The leader of the Serpent Corps turned around and stared at him like he had three heads. "The Han Jisung?"
"I had absolutely no idea I had any value or relevance whatsoever. Please tell me what's going on." His eyes were wide, not expecting the reaction.
"Han Jisung, you're very famous." He smiled. "Your Datura toxin has massacred over two hundred people."
"What...kind of people?"
"All kinds!" Yuta exclaimed happily like he was in the presence of the second coming of Christ.
"Why do you need Minho?" He cut right to the chase, eager to find out what they were planning.
"There's supposedly an error with Kim Hongjoong's clone. So why not make a new one with someone bigger and badder?"
"How long will it take?"
"With Min Yoongi as our personal bitch boy, it shouldn't be long."
"And what would you like me to do in the meantime?"
"I need you to make something for me. Something deadly."
"What else?"
"Tell me everything you know, or else I'll have you killed."
"Cute threat. Give me some instant ramen, a six pack of beer, Sinatra on vinyl, some crystal meth, and a bathrobe. I like to be comfortable when I'm at work." Jisung nodded, unfazed by his words. In his eyes, everyone is a joke. Minho was the only exception.
He was taken to a sophisticated laboratory that was filled with every chemical and substance you could imagine. What he had in mind seemed easily achievable.
His plan was to recreate a concoction called Rosax. Minho had asked him to make something that would kill a person instantaneously. The first person he planned to use it on was none other than his best friend, Park Seonghwa. Jisung was unfortunately aware of all the things he used to do to Hongjoong, so he advised him not to experiment on anyone.
"Hey, stranger." Taehyung walked into the lab to see Jisung at work, bringing everything he requested. "You know, I figured you'd switch sides once you heard about our plan to clone Minho."
"I don't think it's fair that Seonghwa gets his happy ending and I don't."
"How long is this going to take you?"
"About two hours."
"What will it do?"
"That'll ruin the surprise." He smiled. "Come back in two hours with someone you can't stand. I'll do you a favor you won't get in trouble for."
Jisung slaved away, creating the deadly toxin. Putting himself in such a tight time frame was going to be a challenge, but he wanted to prove himself. If he could get on the Serpent Corps' side, they would have the upper hand.
"It's been two hours." Taehyung returned with someone by his side. "Jisung, this is Dino."
"Nice to meet you." He nodded. There were three cups in front of him, but only one had the Rosax. It could easily be mistaken for soda, but Taehyung knew better. "He told me you were stopping by so I wanted to be welcoming." Jisung said to Dino.
"What's in the cups?" He asked.
"Oh, just Coke." Jisung nonchalantly took a sip from his cup, then ended up drinking more than half of it to prove his point. Taehyung did the same with the cup furtherest to the right.
At that point, Dino didn't find anything to be suspicious, so he shrugged and took the cup in the middle. Not even ten seconds later, his brain completely exploded on the inside of his skull, killing him instantly.
"Holy shit!" Taehyung exclaimed.
"Isn't it crazy what science can do?" Jisung smiled.
The success of the toxin gave him an idea. He knew exactly how to take down the Serpent Corps all by himself if he played his cards right.
