"Wooyoung, stop." Yeji jogged to catch up to him as he walked to the car. "Wooyoung, listen to me!"
"If you think for a split fucking second that I'm going to sit around and twiddle my thumbs when San could potentially be in danger right now, you're highly mistaken." He shouted, feeling a combination of rage and fear.
"I know you're scared, but we need to use our heads rather than running into this full speed without a plan."
Wooyoung got into the car as Yeji followed, and then he drove away obnoxiously, making the tires screech.
"I'm going to call him right now, and if he doesn't answer, we're all going tonight."
"That's fine." She sighed, hoping he'd calm down a bit more.
The phone rang, then eventually went to voicemail. He tried again, but there was still nothing.
Five missed calls.
No answer.
"I'm going to fucking lose it!" He yelled, gripping tightly onto the steering wheel.
"Where are you driving to right now?"
"My house. Text everyone and tell them to come over so we can discuss."
"Okay." She nodded, doing as he asked.
"Let me tell you something about me, Yeji." He calmly said. "I fucking hate rescue missions!" Then he screamed, making her flinch from the unexpected volume.
"They'll get there at the same time as us."
"Did you text Hyunjin and Felix too?"
"Yeah."
"And?"
"They're coming."
Wooyoung felt bad for making them join in on this, but he needed all hands on deck. Not only was his husband's life on the line but so was Jisung's.
He barged through his front door to find Seonghwa and Hongjoong having a normal conversation on the couch with Ace lying on the floor. Their relaxed evening was about to change dramatically.
"Hongjoong, what do you know about Datura?" Wooyoung asked, wasting no time.
His eyes widened as he slowly shook his head. "Keep that shit away from me. I'm convinced I never recovered from it and that's part of why I went batshit."
"Great, well it's now officially a problem. Did you know Minho fucking sold it to the Serpent Corps?"
"Fuck." Seonghwa mumbled. "Yeah, that was me."
"Park Seonghwa!"
"That's because it fucked him up! I remember how messed up Hongjoong was afterward. I wanted to get it out of the Underground and they wanted to buy it. That's why they've left me alone for the past couple years."
"And you're telling us this now?"
"Do you really think I saw this coming?"
Yunho and Mingi walked in next, awkwardly staring at each other as the coworkers argued.
"So, what's going on?" The hacker asked.
"Seonghwa sold Datura to the god damn Serpent Corps!" Wooyoung exclaimed.
"What's Datura?" Yeosang suddenly appeared out of nowhere with his arm protectively around Winter. It was quite ironic since he lacked in combat skills and she could kill someone within a millisecond.
"Just wait for everyone to get here." Yeji suggested, knowing how stressed out the leader was.
"Mingi, do you have any cocaine on you?" Wooyoung asked.
"None of that. Stop it." She flicked him in the head, then sat him down on the couch.
"Is he having a crisis or something?" Ningning asked, standing close to Jongho.
"Yes!" The leader shouted, stressfully running his fingers through his hair. "Where's Hyunjin?"
"Here." His best friend sat next to him, fully recuperated from earlier. "What's going on? Everyone's here now."
Wooyoung looked up and scanned the room, then shook his head. "No, everyone's not here. San and Jisung are missing."
"Shit." Felix mumbled, terrified he may lose his best friend again if that's the case.
"They went back to the mansion site because apparently Jisung needed to see something. But I just got word that the Serpent Corps definitely killed Yoongi, and because of it, they're about to use the Datura like it's fucking oxygen."
"What's Datura?" Chaeryeong asked.
"It's a toxin that will make you hallucinate your biggest fears. Either you beat the effects or it kills you."
"Is that..." Hyunjin trailed off, afraid of coming into contact with it again.
"Yup, it is. And guess who fucking made it?"
"I'm bracing myself because I just know." Yunho cringed.
"Yeah, it was Jisung."
"What?" That shattered a piece of Felix. He'd been taking care of his boyfriend for hours because of something his best friend created. "How did they get it then?"
"I sold it to them." Seonghwa mumbled awkwardly. "I knew how dangerous it was, and I wanted it away from the Underground. I told them how lethal the stuff was, so as a bargain, they would leave me alone."
"Oh, nice going, dipshit." Mingi scoffed, earning a smack to the chest from Karina.
"I did it to protect him." He explained, pointing to his husband.
Then it suddenly clicked with him.
There was no reason for Hongjoong to come into contact with the Datura unless it was used on him. Minho had him as a test subject the whole time and he was too stupid to even notice.
"You okay?" Hongjoong quietly asked.
"We'll talk later." Seonghwa replied, taking his hand.
"So what's the plan?" Lia asked.
"I need all the Red Dragons on this with protective masks that'll prevent breathing it in." Wooyoung replied. "As for Black Legion, I want-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Mingi held out his hands, wanting to take a brief pause. "Since when were we Black Legion again?"
"Since when were we not?" Jongho looked at him like he was an idiot.
"I don't know, I didn't realize it was established. We've always just been called 'the team' so I wasn't sure."
"If everyone gets a fancy name, we need one too." Wooyoung groaned. "Anyway, I need Felix, Hongjoong, Yunho, Jongho, and myself to be the ones that find San and Jisung, then get them out. Yeosang and Mingi, I need you two to somehow get eyes and ears around the perimeter. Hyunjin and Seonghwa, you're our drivers."
"Oh, thank god." The CEO mumbled, grateful for the easiest job.
"Why?" Hyunjin whined.
"Do you wanna deal with the Datura again?" Wooyoung asked.
"No."
"I didn't think so."
"So when is this happening?" Giselle asked.
"Tonight, so be prepared."
"What do you want us to do exactly?"
"Do what you always do." Wooyoung shrugged. "Kill everyone and don't stop until we get San and Jisung out of there."
"Sounds fun."
"Oh, it will be."
