"It's been five days now. Hey Phil, do you think he'll wake up?"
PAH!
"Hey! What was that for?!"
"This isn't the time or place dickheads!"
"Hey! Who're you calling dickhead?"
Jim heard voices of his roommates but they all felt distant and muddled like he was under water and he was falling.
'Huh?' Jim thought as he struggled to head towards the voices but he only fell deeper and deeper.
'What's happening?!' Jim panicked.
THUD!
Jim felt himself fall on something solid.
"Welcome Jim. I've waited so long to see you." Jim heard a mans voice say to him.
He got up and slowly opened his eyes which he squinted a second after due to the bright light that invaded his eyes. When his eyes adjusted to the light, he realized he was in an empty white space and a man stood before him. He wore a dark cloak and radiated an aura of mysteriousness.
"Wh-who are you." Jim asked, his voice a little raspy.
"The name's Ascore. And you can think of me as your little guardian angel." Ascore said while Jim just stared at him with an inexplicable expression.
"That doesn't really tell me much." Jim said blandly.
SIGH!
"Look kid, you're special... And powerful. I've never seen anyone quite like you. " Ascore said while a look of confusion appeared on Jim's face.
"Let me tell you a little story... Once upon a time, there was a prince, the heir to the throne.he had everything he could ever wish for except one... Power.
He left his kingdom on the quest of attaining power, one that no man could rival. One that would break through the limits of mortal comprehension and ascend into godhood... "...
...
..."Finally! Yes! I can feel it! The power! It's running through my veins! After all these years I've searched and searched. Finally I'm here! I've become a god!" A man with long red hair which was currently floating upwards and glowing red eyes said with a joyous expression on his face as crimson red energy swirled around him live a hurricane and he was lifted into the air. The energy slowly started reducing as they entered into his body. He was absorbing it.
"Yes! Yes!!!"
CRACKLE!!!
Lightening tore the sky as the wind howled and the sky got painted with a tint of red.
Soon the energy was gone and the sky returned to normal. Standing in the midst of everything was the red haired man who had a smile on his face as he clenches his fists and released it repeatedly.
BOOM!!!
A large beam of white light suddenly struck the ground in front of him.
"Huh?" He muttered In confusion.
When the light faded, seven glowing white figures were seen. Their radiance too bright for their details to be seen. And they surrounded the red haired man.
"What's this? Who're you freaks?" The red haired man asked as he stared at them with a wary expression.
"ASCORE XONRA." All seven figures said simultaneously.
" WE ARE THE GUARDIANS."
"YOU HAVE GREATLY DISTURBED THE BALANCE OF THIS REALM."
"WE WE'RE FORCED TO WATCH ALL THIS TIME SINCE WE MUST NOT INTERFERE WITH MORTALS."
"BUT NOW YOU ARE NO LONGER A MORTAL..."
"YOU ARE A GOD."
" AND NOW WE CAN END YOU."
They all took turns speaking giving them an eerie aura.
"And what makes you think you can do that?" Ascore asked with scorn.
The guardians didn't reply. Rather they all stretched their right hand at Ascore. Ascore saw this action and knew it was bad news for him. He immediately tried to fly away, only to discover that he couldn't move. Soon a bright light burst from their hands and enveloped him completely. The light swirled and swirled but Ascore didn't feel anything, yet.
Soon he felt his body going weak and he could no longer support himself as he fell to his knees.
"What..." He struggled to look up and he saw a red orb being formed in front of him. His eyes widened as he instantly realized what was happening.
"No! No! You bastards! My power! All these years! You can't take it! You can't!" Ascore yelled into the air as the last trail of energy left his body and entered the orb which was now glowing red with an aura of pure destructiveness.
"WHAT DO WE DO WITH IT?" One of the figures asked as they turned to look in the direction of one of the other figures.
"HIDE IT SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY... POSSIBLY ON ANOTHER REALM." Another voice said. Ascore was lying on the ground looking like he had aged several thousands of years and his body was slowly turning to dust.
"Rolak... P-protect my p-ower" he breathed.
"Yes. My lord." A voice whispered from nowhere like it was carried with the wind but Ascore heard it and as he slowly disintegrated, a smile formed on his lips before he completely disappeared.
...
...
..."So how come you're in my head?" Jim asked amused.
"Well you see... That's why I commended you for being special earlier? Naturally, if a god dies he reincarnates right? Well at that point I was completeIy drained and couldn't even reincarnate. But somehow, I did. Only to discover that the original consciousness of the body I reincarnates into had dominated and threw me to the back seat of the mind. I couldn't gain control and all I could do was watch you live your life. When you were in danger back in that alleyway and you desperately needed help. The black swords as if following your will, pulled me out so I could takeover. So you see? That's why I'm in your head." Ascore explained lengthily.
Jim understood everything so far and nodded in understanding as he bowed lightly to Ascore.
"Thank you." He said and Ascore nodded.
"I have nothing left in this world Jim, I can't let you lose why you have left." Ascore said and Jim's body slowly began to ascend into the air higher and higher till he was out of sight.
TWITCH!
Jim's eyes shot wide open.
