A group of four boys could be seen in a room filled with students grouped in fours.
The room had an elevated platform at the front and standing on that platform was a man that seemed to be in his late twenties with jet black hair and sky blue eyes.
"Today as you all know is a special day. You youngsters would be heading out for an expedition on an orange grade planet. For this year's expedition, you all would be taken to planet Frighst. All the details about the planet such as the type of beasts present, the weather, terrain and the likes has been updated into the device we'll be handing out. There's even a rough map of the place*ahem!* I suggest you don't 4ely on that much. Anyways. Other than that, the rules pretty much remain the same. Press the emergency button when you're in trouble you know you can't handle and each beast you kill has a score. No fights between groups or team members. And with that, I wish you all a safe expedition! Now head to TH1." The man said in an up at tone before the crowd dispersed.
After everyone left the hall, a young woman who had a stern expression and a petite frame with blood red hair walked up to the man from behind.
"Don't you think this is a bad idea Roy?" She asked while the man only chuckled.
"Oh Cassandra yes, yes I think it's a bad idea, but it's good for the children you see, it helps them gain fighting experience." Roy said with a carefree smile while a visible vein bulged from Cassandra's forehead.
"Don't play dumb with me Roy. You know I'm not talking about thedamn expedition. I'm talking about Frighst!" Cassandra said annoyed by Roy's nonchalant behavior.
"Frighst? Oh that, Yes. Well you see, there's nothing I can do at this point. Everything has already been set. And besides, what's the worst that can happen?" Roy said still maintaining his smile.
"You... you're unbelievable. If something happens to those children Roy, I'll make sure you regret it for the rest of your life." Cassandra said before storming off.
"The rest of my life huh?... " Roy mumbled as he stared at the departing Cassandra.

"Hey Jim, ever fought a beast before?" Axel asked as they approached a hall with the sign TH1 on it .
"Never even seen one. But it shouldn't be too hard right?... right?" Jim asked uncertainty clear in his voice.
"Hard?, What do you mean hard? It's not hard. It's unbearable! We're just gonna hide in a cave or something munching on CF's for a week or were dead." Phil butted in.
"CF's? "Jim asked a little confused.
"Compressed food buddy. It's kinda the only way to survive'round here. If you don't wanna go out to hunt that is." Phil said.
"Then how are we going to get scores if we just hide?" Jim asked.
"Scores? Choose bud. Your life or numbers?" Phil said which made Jim shake his head hopelessly.
"We're not hiding in a cave Phil. We're taking the test for real this time." Axel said while Jim looked at him curiously.
"Huh? Why? What's the difference between now and then?" Phil asked dejectedly.
"Then we didn't have a fourth member. Now we do. That's the difference." Axel said.
"He's right." Denok said.
"We're gonna be participating for real this time." He declared as they entered into the hall.
In the hall there were three large circular portals all emitting an orange glow.
"Teleporters huh?" So they're teleporting us there? Interesting." Denok commented.
" I've never seen one of these before. I wonder what it feels like to pass through one of those." Phil said as he stared in awe.
" Well you're about to find out." Axel replied as they walked forward.
'Hmm... Interesting.' Jim heard a voice suddenly say.
Turning around he found no one close to him.
'Who was that?' Jim thought internally.
'it's me, doofus.' the voice said again while Jim felt the voice sounded familiar.
'Ascore?' He asked in his mind.
'Yeah it's Ascore.' Ascore replied.
'since when could you talk to me this way?' Jim asked.
'Well I don't know, since you touched the swords I guess.' Ascore replied making Jim nod in understanding.
'Those swords... I still don't know what kind of secret lies within it. I wonder where it came from.' Jim thought internally. Since Ascore didn't reply, he guessed he couldn't hear his inner thoughts just those that appear on the surface.
'that's pretty convenient.' Jim thought.
'huh? What's convenient?' Ascore asked.
'Hey so, like, you can hear all my thoughts or something?' Jim asked just to be sure.
'Nah, just those that appear on the surface that I can pick up. It'd be a pain if I got to listen to ever depressing thought of a teenager.' Ascore replied.
"It's time Jim." He heard Denok say, interrupting his train of thoughts.
Jim gulped as he looked at his friends before holding hands and stepping into the teleporter.
The reason for this was because the teleporter usually randomizes the place it drops people on the planet since they would be taking the test as a team they had to hold hands to avoid landing in different locations.
Denok naturally had been appointed group leader and had gone to collect all the gadgets they would need beforehand.
Stepping into the teleporter, Jim felt himself being chucked through a boundless space with frightening speed. He held onto his friends hands tighter and finally appeared on the other side. The sunlight hit his face and he slowly opened his eyes allowing it to accommodate the sudden change brightness.
He looked forward and all he saw were trees. They were in a forest.
'So this is it then. Planet Frighst."
