As the last phase of the assembly concluded, the students began dispersing, heading off to their respective classes. Mei and Ayako were no exception, quickly gathering their belongings and making their way across the bustling campus. The first few subjects of the day passed in a blur, with lectures and discussions that seemed to drag on. But what really dominated the conversations around them wasn't the coursework—it was the new professor.

Everywhere Mei turned, she overheard snippets of excited chatter about Professor Sylus. In the hallways, the cafeteria, even during class breaks, it seemed like everyone had something to say about him. The girls, especially, were abuzz with admiration, exchanging stories and rumors as if they had all become instant experts on the enigmatic new faculty member.

Mei found herself growing increasingly annoyed with the constant chatter. It was as if no one could talk about anything else, and the endless discussions about Professor Sylus were starting to grate on her nerves. Yet, despite her irritation, she couldn't deny a flicker of curiosity. She hadn't seen him up close, and part of her wondered if she might have a class with him.

As they hurried to their next class, Mei turned to Ayako, unable to hold back her curiosity any longer. "Ayako, what's our next class? Do you know if it's with Professor Sylus?"

Ayako, who had been caught up in the excitement along with everyone else, looked at Mei with a grin. "You're in luck, Mei-mei~. Our next class is with him! It's one of the core subjects for Cultural Studies."

Mei's heart skipped a beat. She hadn't expected that. Suddenly, the chatter around her didn't seem so irritating anymore. The prospect of seeing what all the fuss was about firsthand intrigued her more than she cared to admit.

"Well," Mei said, trying to sound nonchalant, "I guess we'll see what all the hype is about."

As they approached the classroom, Mei could already see a crowd gathered near the door, everyone eager to get a glimpse of the new professor. It looked like this class was going to be far more interesting than she had anticipated.

Ayako holds Mei's wrist and scooches inside proclaiming that the students at the door we're not for this class. Ayako "excuse me! coming through we have a class here!". As they got inside, some students we're already at they're sit and a lot of them we're in the front. Ayako tsked as she glared at the girl's eye bawling at us. They had no choice but to sit at the topmost corner.

Ayako sighed and said while she was getting her note pad out "next time lets be early, I want to have a good look at Professor Sylus" Mei scoffed and did as well put her note pad out.

The class was quiet when they got there Sylus wasn't yet lecturing, for he was just sitting on the chair reading a textbook. Mei looked at him, examining him with his unsettling aura. His masculinity was no question of how hot he was, especially his red ruby eyes. Mei looked mesmerized until Sylus piercingly looked at her as if he knew his next prey.

Mei looked away braking off they're eye contact and tried to pretend she was doing something until she heard a deep sunken dreamy voice.

"I expect everyone to be ready, attentive and... focused in my class, failure to comply will serve to me after class" he said as he wrapped his hands together looking to every one of them. Ayako whispers in "He bites...though it makes him so attractive" Mei smiled back to Ayako, silently giggling.

As Sylus began to lecture, Mei couldn't be focused on what was being thought, she was mostly focused on Sylus whom for some reasons wanted to get to know more about him. She wanted to be curious on what else there is to his life. She bets every girl is also wanting that but her? she just wants to keep it casual and professional. She knew she wouldn't even have a chance, especially from a professor.

Class we're dismissed, Ayako was grabbing her things as she said "Finally lunch time! I'll grab something to eat are you coming with me?" before Mei could answer they heard a couple of girls went in front to talk to Sylus. It was like a huge mob of fans trying to get Sylus into they're den.

Ayako "he seems to be nice handling with the all the commotion at least" Mei "well...give the man a break though".

Mei actually wanted to do the same and at least get to talk to him, she was a little jealous, but she knew she would have to cross the line to do that. Mei looked at Ayako signaling to fled out and as they did. Little did they know Sylus was actually keeping his eyes on his target.

Mei and Ayako made their way to the bustling cafeteria, the aroma of freshly cooked food wafting through the air. It was lunchtime, and the place was packed with students eager to refuel after a busy morning of classes. They managed to find a spot at a long table, already half-filled with other students, and settled in with their trays of food.

As they began to eat, the conversation naturally turned to the morning's events. The buzz about Professor Sylus had died down somewhat, allowing Mei to finally relax and enjoy her meal. She and Ayako chatted about their classes, upcoming assignments, and plans for the rest of the day. Just as Mei was taking a bite of her rice, Ayako's phone buzzed on the table. She glanced down at the screen and immediately broke into a smile. "Oh, look at this, Mei!" she said excitedly, holding up her phone for Mei to see.

Mei leaned in, curious. "What is it?"

"It's a message from some of our old classmates from last year, the ones from different sections. They're planning a little gathering tonight to celebrate passing last year's term. Drinks and everything," Ayako explained, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

Mei's interest was piqued. She hadn't seen some of their old classmates in a while, and the idea of catching up with them sounded fun. "That sounds great! It's been a while since we all hung out together.

"Exactly!" Ayako agreed, already typing out a quick reply. "They're meeting at that little izakaya near the station at 8 PM. You in?"

Mei nodded, a smile spreading across her face. "Definitely. It'll be nice to catch up and unwind a bit after the first day back. As they continued their lunch, the prospect of the evening's gathering added a sense of anticipation to the rest of the day. It was shaping up to be a perfect way to celebrate the start of the new school year and reconnect with friends they hadn't seen in a while.
