The day of the festival finally arrived, and the school was abuzz with energy. Students arrived early to set up their booths, each group working hard to perfect their displays. Mei, Ayako, Yuki, and Hana stood in front of their cute café booth, admiring the final product. The vibrant colors, playful decorations, and the carefully arranged tables made the booth stand out among the others. Everyone clapped and exchanged words of appreciation for the effort they put in.

Ayako, bubbling with excitement, clapped her hands to get the girls attention. "Alright, Time to change into our costumes chop-chop, it's almost time!"

Mei, who had avoided looking at herself in the full outfit up until now, finally slipped into the maid costume. It wasn't until she saw her reflection in the mirror that the embarrassment hit her. The outfit was cute but also a little too...much. As she finished adjusting the costume, Ayako, Yuki, and Hana gathered around her, wide smiles on their faces.

"You look adorable, Mei!" Ayako gushed, practically bouncing on her feet.

"You really do," Yuki added, her eyes twinkling.

Hana nodded in agreement, and just when Mei thought it couldn't get more embarrassing, Ayako pulled out a cat-eared headband and a tail belt. "This will complete the look," Ayako said with a wink, handing them to Mei.

Mei stared at the accessories, her face heating up as she reluctantly put them on. With the headband and tail, she looked even more like a cute character straight out of an anime. Ayako clapped her hands in delight. "Now you're a cute little cat, just like you always are!"

Mei shot a look at her friends, all of whom were just wearing the maid outfit and a simple headbands without the extra flair. "No fair, why am I the one who looks the most embarrassing?" she groaned, trying to hide her blush.

Ayako grinned mischievously. "Because, face it, Mei—you've got the looks, the curves, and the face! If anyone's going to bring in customers, it's you!"

Hana chimed in, laughing, "Totally agreed, You're the showstopper here"

Mei sighed in defeat but couldn't help but smile at her friends. "You're really lucky I love you guys," she said, adjusting her headband as the butterflies in her stomach slowly settled.

As the day went on, the crowd at the maid café grew steadily, with more students and even a few outsiders drawn in by the booth's charm. Mei, stationed as the greeter, cheerfully bowed and welcomed each guest, saying, "Hello! Welcome to our booth—it's a pleasure to serve you!" At first, she was enthusiastic, but after countless greetings, the task became repetitive. Without much energy, she began to bow without looking up, letting her words trail off as her mind wandered.

"Hello, welcome to our booth happy to ser—" she started, only to look up and find herself face-to-face with Sylus. Her cheeks turned a deep shade of red, and she quickly looked away, stammering, "He-Hello, Professor!"

Sylus saw how cute she was and her reaction. He just wanted to touch and tease her. Sylus could feel how he was reddish too by the thoughts and heat he was feeling. He tried to act normal he made a little peek inside the cafe. "It seems you've got your hands full here," he said, glancing inside. "Need an extra set of hands to help with the crowd?"

Mei blinked, caught off guard. "R-Really? Don't you have other things to do?"

Sylus leaned in slightly, his tone casual. "Nothing at all," he said smoothly, using the excuse as a way to spend time near her.

Trying to regain her composure, Mei led him into the café and to Ayako. "Professor Sylus said he'd be happy to help us serve the customers." Trying to act as if they hadn't spent time together at the carnival.
