As they got off the ride, Mei suggested, "We should probably have dinner."

Sylus nodded in agreement. "Definitely," he said, pulling out his phone and calling Dr. Gregory. "We're done meet us all at Seoul Grill, the Samgyupsal place down the street."

Once they arrived at the restaurant Sylus went to a waiter to get a table. Kieran's stomach let out an exaggerated growl. "I'm so hungry~ Ayako nearly starved us to death!" he whined.

Luke chimed in with a mock dramatic tone, "So true. We've been dragged around all day like prisoners!"

Ayako huffed, crossing her arms. "Easy for you guys to say! You were dragging me around like a helpless critter! Objection!" She hurried over to Mei, wrapping her arm around her for support. "Mei's my witness! Tell them, Mei!"

Kieran smirked, not missing a beat. "Hah! Mei stands with us. She's a traitor to you, isn't that right, Mei-Mei?"

Mei smiled, playing along. "I think... I stand with the person I was with for the longest time," she teased.

Ayako stuck her tongue out at the guys. As Kieran said "Traitor!"

Luke clutched his chest in mock despair, staggering backward dramatically. "Ouch! We will remember this betrayal for the rest of our lives!"

Just then, Sylus waved them over to the table he had secured. "Food and drinks are on me. Just be sure to take care of yourselves," he said with a smile.

The group quickly gathered around the table, the sizzling of meat on the grill filling the air as they dug into the feast. The mood was light, and the laughter flowed easily with alcohol.

Kieran turned to Ayako, "Remember that time you almost fainted on the roller coaster? You were like, 'I'm fine, I'm fine,' and then screamed at the top of your lungs when the ride dropped!"

Ayako playfully swatted his arm, laughing. "Excuse me, I was terrified! And you two jerks were egging me on!"

Luke nodded, a smirk on his face. "Yeah, you were holding on for dear life~. But the real highlight was when you tried to act cool afterward."

Ayako rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but laugh. "Okay, fine, I admit it. That ride was way scarier than I expected!"

On the other side of the table, Dr. Gregory and Rita were having a quiet conversation. "You should've seen that old compass at the antique shop," Rita said, her eyes lighting up. "It was from the 18th century, still in working condition."

Dr. Gregory nodded. "And don't forget the porcelain vase. That thing must've been older than all of us combined. I could almost feel the history radiating from it."

Mei, overhearing them, smiled and turned to Sylus. "I think we made the right choice coming here. Everyone's having a great time."

Sylus leaned back, his arm draped over the back of Mei's chair, looking relaxed. "Yeah, it's good to let loose once in a while. But don't get used to it," he teased, giving her a sideways glance.

Mei laughed, feeling the warmth of the moment. Surrounded by friends, food, and fun, the night seemed perfect.

As time passed, the group slowly began to feel the effects of the alcohol, with each person becoming more intoxicated—especially Mei, who was notorious for getting drunk easily. Sylus, on the other hand, remained steady despite having consumed ounces of alcohol. He never seemed to get drunk, his tolerance seemingly endless.

Ayako, swaying slightly and emotional, lifted her glass with a slurred, teary speech. "I know this is not the right time! But cheers to safety and peace! May all of us get the victory we deserve! Kampang!" Her glass clinked loudly against the others as they all raised theirs in unison, cheering through laughter and exhaustion.
