Alice POV
I was in my room, listening to music with my headphones. Just minding my own business twirling around carefree. I turned my music louder until I could no longer hear the audible noises from outside my room. I hadn't noticed it, but one of our housemaids entered my room.
I felt a light tap on my shoulder making me flinch.
“Ay shit! You scared me...”
I say holding onto my chest that was rapidly rising up.
“Sorry po madam, pinapatawag po kasi kayo ng papa niyo may sasabihin daw po sainyo...”
“Ano raw? Sabihin mo papunta na’ko.”
She nods before turning to leave.
Talk? Ano nanaman pag uusapan namin? Tungkol saan nanaman? Maybe he just wants to see how I'm doing... Wait did I do something to piss him off? Did I? I was overthinking and contemplating whether or not I should go down.
“Hua Pei! Come here this instant!”
His deep voice awakened me.
I made my way down the stairs, my heart raising. I was expecting another sheepish looking man beside him, snickering and whispering to himself.
As soon as I entered the kitchen my eyes darted to a woman sitting down beside my dad. She looks gorgeous, and effortlessly beautiful I was immediately hooked. I could tell her charisma was high and her bright smile made me smile too. Looking through her eyes made me feel things that I had never felt before.
I'm not going to lie, this is the first time a woman has made my heart thump faster. Out of all the men that my dad tried to set me up with she was the only one to make me feel this hooked.
I sat down in front of them not taking my eyes off her. My dad smiles.
“女儿，这是丽莎，她将成为你的新约会对象.”

He nods.

“Dad what do you mean po?-”

“I wasn't talking to you, woman.” I snob.
“Ay putangina mo ka magbaback out na talaga ako.”
“nyenyenye! paki alam ko ba? sige mag back out ka hindi rin naman ako badi-”

I rolled my eyes. Sarap kurutin neto ah.
I pouted my lips, making eye-contact with her. “I’m sorry, please forgive me love.” I say playfully.
