I stormed into the church, startling my allies. They stopped what they were doing when I slammed the doors open.
Dohnaseek: What's the problem, boss?
Y/n: I was just approached by the heiress to House Gremory. She unsuccessfully tried to recruit me to her side. When I refused, one of her slaves turned his blade on me, so I gave him something he wouldn't soon forget.
Raynare: What did you do?
Y/n: I exposed him to my light powers and left a burn on his face. I think it's safe to say that we also have devils to deal with. I'm not sure what exactly her plans are here, but if it comes to a point we need to fight them then that's what we'll do.
Dohnaseek: Forgive me, but I don't think picking a fight with them is wise. You said the Gremory heiress is here, yes? Do you know what that name means in the Underworld?
Y/n: I know it's one of the remaining 72 pillars.
Dohnaseek: Allow me to inform you then. Her brother currently holds the title of Lucifer. Attacking her servant could potentially be seen as an act of war.
Y/n: Shit. How could I have been so careless?
Dohnaseek: I don't blame you since you didn't know, but for the sake of your life, don't do something like that again unless you know for certain that nothing will come of it. All we can do now is pray she doesn't inform her brother about this.
Y/n: I don't think she will.
Dohnaseek: How do you know?
Y/n: She knew what I was and likely knew how strong I was. She probably thought she could sway me with promises of riches and power by agreeing to serve her. While attacking her servant wasn't the best choice, I doubt she'll say anything. She seemed to be the type of person who likes to do things with as little outside help as possible. The way she carried herself seemed arrogant and prideful.
Kalawarner: Typical. Devils think they are the ultimate beings. It's that line of thinking that nearly wiped them out.
Dohnaseek: My suggestion? Don't further harm her servants, but try to create a diplomatic relationship. From what I know about the Gremorys, their care for their servants is a big part of what makes them famous. If she hears from you that no further harm comes to them on your part, that should make her agree to a cease-fire between our groups for now.
Y/n: Good idea. Glad I chose you as my second.
Dohnaseek: Happy to be of service.
Mittelt: So what now?
Y/n: Continue as planned, but steer clear of the high school. The minds of human teenagers are much easier to manipulate, but with devils prowling around, it will be difficult for anyone besides me to do it. What is the status of the nun?
Dohnaseek: She'll be here in a few days.
Y/n: Good. I'm going to see what I can do about the user I've encountered already. He's a bit of a lecher, so swaying him will be easy.
Mittelt: Gross.
Kalawarner: Says the most perverted one here.
Mittelt: Me? What about that outfit of yours? Those boobs look like they're about to burst out!
I let them argue and left the room. I began thinking about how to get Issei into a position where I could convince him to join me. I also had to prepare to unlock his sacred gear and find out why it felt so familiar to me.
