Chapter Twenty

One thing Saniyah knows is that she can never fall in love with anyone else except her late husband but that doesn't stop her from getting attached to her new husband. And one thing that just becomes evident is that, any one that marry her will never last.

Tears rolled down her eyes soaking her niqab as her feet carried her to the ICU. She was really scared, scared of losing a husband for the second time. On getting to the ICU, she was stopped from entering by a nurse.

"I'm sorry ma'am but you can't enter. The doctors are attending to him." Ignoring the nurse she stood by the door and watch through a small glass but she couldn't see him. Doctors and nurses surrounded him making it impossible for her.

"His Majesty was attacked and is presently at the hospital"

Adam's personal bodyguard words rang in her head and she burst into tears again. She had went unconscious upon hearing the news and was revived immediately before she rushed here with Sawdah.

Talking of Sawdah, Sawdah really couldn't pinpoint what is going on in her. She doesn't portray any emotion as she's unsure of which one to show. She sat down at the far end of the hallway as she watch her senior wife cry.

Her mother in law is yet to hear the news but she knew it won't last long as the social media is full of it already.

And just on point, the former King and his wife rushed into the hall with Marwa and Safoorah holding their mum who looks like will collapse any minutes from now. Adam's dad followed behind keeping a neutral face even when he knows he might just give up the ghost if he receives any bad news from the doctor.

Sawdah felt her heart dropped to the bottom of her stomach when they all walked past her not paying attention to her. She watched them hug Saniyah one after the other. But before she could make another conclusion, she heard her father in law asked for her.

"I'm here" She said her voice coming out hoarse.

Her mother in law walked towards her and pulled her into a hug and that did nothing but made her burst into tears.

No she doesn't love him but the thought of becoming a widow at this age was what makes her burst into tears.

The door to the ICU opened and the doctors came out.

"How's he doctor?" The former King asked and the doctor sighed.

"Sorry but we lost him" And on cue, Saniyah went unconscious for the second time.

"Saniyah" Sawdah called walking into saniyah's room with a crying Zubayr. They are presently in their Iddah period but since Saniyah is the most affected, Sawdah always make sure to be by her side and take care of the twins also. And on the course of mourning her husband, Saniyah went into depression. The kind of depression that people doubt if she will she will ever be back to normal.

"Saniyah Zubayr won't stop crying. Please carry him maybe he will stop" Sawdah said but got no response from Saniyah. Zubayr kept on crying while stretching his hands towards his mum who didn't even pay a single attention to them.
