I'm🎙️Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said,

*“There is no doubt that the heart becomes covered with rust, just as metal dishes, silver, and their like become rusty. So the rust of the heart is polished with dhikr (remembrance of Allah), for dhikr polishes the heart until it becomes like a shiny mirror.*

*However, when dhikr is abandoned, the rust returns; and when it commences then the heart again begins to be cleansed. Thus the heart becoming rusty is due to two matters: sins and ghaflah (neglecting remembrance of Allah).*

*Likewise, it is cleansed and polished by two things: istighfar (seeking Allah’s forgiveness) and dhikr.”*

Eight years ago, Saniyah was seated at this same masjid with her parents beside her as she signed a marriage certificate. But the only difference is the person she's getting married to.

Unlike her last marriage which was done on a very low key, she allowed her parents to plan this one as they want but must never be huge as her first one.

"Baarakallaahu lakuma, wa baaraka 'alaykuma, wa jama'a baynakumaa fee khayrin." Everyone chanted as they hug the newly weds.

"Mum please put me in your prayers. This is the third time mum." Saniyah said as her mum hugged her.

"You're always in my Dua Habeebty. Your dad and I always put you in our prayers. We're also sad Saniyah. This is the third time of doing this and I pray..." Naheemah couldn't complete her sentence as mother and daughter burst into tears.

"Naheemah we need to head to the hall now. The men are waiting downstairs" Miskiyyah said patting her friend's back.

Naheemah broke the hug before placing a kiss on her daughter's forehead.

"Let's go" She said wiping her tears and Saniyah also so the same before tying her Niqab. They all went downstairs and each got into their respective car. Haneef on the other hand will be driving the couples.

"As Salam Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu" Aabid greeted and Saniyah bit her lips before replying him. He placed his palm in front of her and she stared at it for a while before placing her gloved hand on his.

"Ma Sha Allah" Aabid said and she smiled.

The rest of the journey was silent. Getting to the hall, they walk straight to their designated couch.

Saniyah looked around and her eyes landed on Adeola who had a huge smile on her face holding Talha and Zubayr.

Saniyah had decided to take Adeola with her and that alone makes Adeola really happy. Three weeks ago when Saniyah told Adeola that she will be getting married, she had burst into tears while hugging Saniyah. She cried for like thirty minutes thinking of how she's going to live without Saniyah and the twins. She had really become attached to them. But her tears only increased when Saniyah told her she will be taking her along only if she agree to start university and she quickly agreed before pulling her boss into a hug. Ever since they got to the hall, she refused to let go of the twins thinking Saniyah might forget about her and leave without her even though her clothes had been shipped along Saniyah and the twins own.

Two hours later, the grooms family announced their intention of leaving as they will also be leaving for Qatar that same day.

Saniyah brought out her phone and dialed her former former in law, Abdul Azeez mum's number.
