Days rolled into weeks and weeks into months. Seated on her sons bed is Saniyah, quiet and her mind somewhere else. A knock on the door brought her back and she asked the person to come in.
The door opened and Aakhifah walked in.
"As Salam Alaykum" Aakhifah greeted with a forced smile.
"What do you want?"
"Saniyah calm down."
"Calm down? After what your brother did. It's been two months and you guys decided to keep mute and just decided to visit now. So this was a joint decision right. Wait tell me what did I do that warrant this from your brother. He was angry about the boys mischievous behavior and I tried calming him down and the next thing is for your brother to pronounce the talaq. Not once, but trice. What exactly was my offense. I called you immediately to let you know but none of you came here. And two months into my Iddah you decided to see what is left of me right? To burst your bubble, I can't even wait for the remaining one month to end and leave this damn country. So Sis just leave" Saniyah yelled tears rolling down her eyes. She laid down on the bed backing Aakhifah. Her heart bled, the person she find herself falling for divorced her in a blink of an eye. He didn't tell her what she did wrong that warrant a divorce and no matter how much she question him, he always ignore her.
Before Aakhifah could say anything, the door opened and Adeola and the twins walked in.
"As Salam Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Aunty" The twins greeted before rushing to their mother's side. Adeola walked after them not even bothering to greet Aakhifah.
Aakhifah sighed before leaving the room feeling guilty.
"Aunty what did she come here to do after two months"
"I don't even let her say anything." Saniyah said as the twins wiped her tears.
"Ummy" Talha called and Saniyah looked at him.
"Our teacher wants to see you tomorrow. She called Uncle Aabid but he said he's no more our guardian so I gave her your number but it wasn't going through" Talha said making Saniyah sat up.
"What did you guys did this time? You promised me"
"Wallahi Ummy we did nothing. She just called us after school. Please believe us Ummy we did nothing"
"Okay, I'll see her tomorrow. Now go get change and Aunty Adeola will get you something to eat." She said and they both nod.

"Dad you really need to stop stressing yourself. He didn't even give you an audience when you visited so what makes you think he'll answer your hundreds of calls. I'm presently on my way to the twins school. Their teacher seek my audience so I'll call you back."
" Okay love, take care. Allah Hafiz"
"Okay dad. Ma Salam. Allah Hafiz" Saniyah said before ending the call.
After five minutes, she parked the car and head to the twins class. Luckily, it was break time so the kids had gone out to play except the twins.
"Mrs Abdul Manaan" The teacher called.
