Decided that this would be a good first chapter, don't know why though. Have fun reading!

"Baby, it's time to wake up. " I whisper as I gently shake Y/n's shoulder to wake her up from her nap. She stirs, her eyes open to meet mine. She reaches her arms out so I pick her up from the bed, her head dropping onto my shoulder and closing her eyes again. "I know you're tired baby, but we need to be at the stadium in an hour so  we've gotta get you ready."

Tonight is the first time I'm letting Y/n attend one of my shows without staying in the greenroom for the whole three and a half hours. I haven't let her go before because I didn't think she could handle being around so many people in such a noisy atmosphere, but after some thinking and a bit of persuasion on my mom's part, I finally decided to let her see me perform from the tent.

I walk over to the open suitcase on the floor her clothes are kept in, placing her down on the armchair beside it. "Okay baby girl, what do you want to wear tonight?"

She lowers her gaze to the piles of neatly folded clothes, pausing for a moment before pointing at a lilac dress. "You're going for Speak Now again tonight, huh." I take the dress from the suitcase and attempt to help her change into it but ultimately end up doing all the work because of how tired she is.

"Now, how do you want your hair done? Braids? Half up half down?"

"Braids." She whispers, rubbing her eyes.

"How many?" She simply sticks up two fingers in response so I waste no time and begin to section off her hair. Once I've finished, I pick her back up.
"Auntie Tree should be here very soon. What would you like to do until then?"

"Sleep." She mumbles against my shirt. I take her over to the bed lying back against the pillows and holding her against my chest. After a few shows, I stopped getting us a hotel roomwith two beds as she would just end up crawling into mine to cuddle with me.

Only seconds later, the peaceful moment is interrupted by the door opening and Tree walking in. I forgot I gave her a key to the room, and it's in moments like these when I regret it. Her bothered expression falls, a soft smile replacing a stressed frown when she's met with the sight of Y/n and I.

"As much as I hate to interrupt this we've gotta go now, but there's still a few hours until the show so you'll make up for lost time." Tree has always had a soft spot for Y/n, and me, as long as I'm with Y/n. I get up from the bed, careful not to wake the sleeping toddler in my arms and follow Tree out of the hotel room and to the elevator to head down to the car.

We arrive to the stadium and immediately head to the greenroom. Y/n woke up on the way here so she sits on the couch waiting for me to start soundcheck. When everythings in order, I let her come out on stage with me. We dance around for a couple songs and I hold her for a few more until we head back to the greenroom so I can start getting ready.

I sit her down on the couch and I go over to sit by the dresser as my hair and make up artist  finishes setting up. When my make up is about halfway done, I hear small footsteps padding over to me before Y/n climbs up onto my lap. I slide my arms around her waist to keep her steady.

"What's up baby? Do you need anything?" Instead of responding, she leans back against my chest and grabs one of my hands on her stomach, holding it tightly. "Do you just wanna be close to me, is that it?" She nods slowly. "Are you too tired  to talk today?" Again, she nods her head and I press a kiss against her hair.

Once my make up and hair are all done, I get up from my seat and put Y/n down on the couch before holding up two different bodysuits. "Alright baby girl, which one should mommy wear tonight, hm?" She points to the blue and gold one in my left hand, so i put the other one back on the clothing rack and head into the bathroom to change into my bodysuit.
