Taylor's POV
I'm currently four and a half months pregnant with mine and Travis' second child - we decided to keep it a surprise this time around. It's been much easier knowing what to expect and when. The only thing that's new is the fact that we have a two year old daughter running around.
She isn't causing any trouble and she's taking everything really well which isn't a surprise, she's a very well-behaved kid. Because of how young she is, she doesn't fully understand what's going on. All she knows is that in a few months, she'll have a little sister or brother.
This pregnancy isn't too different from my first apart from my morning sickness only lasting a couple of months, but my cravings have been especially intense recently, but only for one thing; ice cream. I'm not quite sure why, but it's 24/7, and it's killing me. I'm beginning to feel bad about the number of times I've sent Travis out to get ice cream just so I can eat the whole thing within a few hours and send him out for more. Honestly, I don't know why he doesn't just buy out the store's supply at this point.
As usual, I've been craving ice cream since the moment I woke up this morning. I didn't want to bother Travis by making him get more, and I wasn't really in the mood to go myself, so I decided to just let it pass.
But it didn't.
It's now two in the morning, and I lay wide awake in bed, Travis is sleeping peacefully beside me. The only thing that's on my mind is ice cream. I didn't really think waiting it out would be the best idea, but I definitely wasn't expecting it to keep me up tonight.
I roll over, trying to make myself comfortable, immediately regretting in when Travis begins to stir beside me, looking over in confusion.
"Tay? What's wrong?" He asks groggily, pushing himself up into a sitting position.
"Nothing, don't worry. I just can't sleep." I don't like lying to him, but I don't want to cause him any trouble.
"Okay," He says as he lies back down. "C'mere." He mumbles softly, wrapping an arm around me and pulling me into his side. After a few moments, sleep takes over me, finally letting me escape from the never-ending need for ice cream.
——
"Mama!" A little voice shouts from beside me, I turn my head to see Y/n kneeling on the bed by my side. I push myself up into a sitting position, my movements slow, having only woken up.
"G'morning, baby girl. Where's Daddy gone?" I ask, only now realising Travis is missing from the room.
"Dunno," She huffs, climbing onto my lap and resting against me. "Went out."
"Did he tell you where?"
"Uh," She drags out for a moment. "Don' remember." She shrugs her shoulders, burying her face into my chest.
"Okay, well, I think it's time for breakfast, dont you?"
"Waffles!" She practically screams, lifting her head up to look me in the eyes.
"Waffles it is then."
She climbs out of my lap and down from the bed, waiting patiently for me to get up and make her breakfast.
We make our way to the kitchen, I place her carefully on the counter, warning her not to move while I gather all the ingredients. As I'm about to start mixing the ingredients, the front door opens and closes, the sound of Travis' footsteps growing louder as he gets closer.
