ME AND TRENT HAD FINALLY PLANNED A DATE, or it was more of a hangout but after everything that had happened I was just counting it as a date.we were gonna go to a fancy restaurant for lunch and go back to his place after, we were trying our hardest to avoid any dating rumours while still keeping our normal flirty friendship.
we obviously didn't want my brother to think anything of it cause he definitely wouldn't approve, and though I don't listen to my brother it would be annoying to have him talk about it all the time.
he would a hundred percent complain about it every chance he gets and just wouldn't shut up, which is something neither me nor Trent are ready to put up with.
my brother had obviously noticed a change in our friendship already as I now started being more flirty, but so far he didn't think anything bad about it.
"I just hope this is gonna be the come back I so desperately need after the lack of play time at the euros." Trent sighs, talking about his upcoming game with Liverpool.
"if it makes you feel any better I complained in the dms of your coach about your play time, you should've been on every game. a started for that matter" I tell him.
"and you don't need a come back when everything you have done lately is play good, just keep up the good work and you'll be fine" I assure him.
"I hope so, the euros were a total flop." he complains, his lack of play time was truly fascinating. If I was Southgate I would've put him on immediately, every game.
"I guess Gareth just really believes in the whole England squad" I joke, earning a small snort from Trent "or he just doesn't believe in me" he shrugs.
"he definitely does, he would be stupid not to believe in you. I've said this once and I will say it again, you're one of his best players." I place my hand on top of Trent's.
"thank you maddie. I just wish he could see that as well" he frowns, to say he was disappointed about the euros was an understatement.
I was disappointed as well, not at the squad, they came a long way and even made it to the finale. but the way Gareth didn't even put Trent on in most of the games had me furious at home on my couch.
"what can I get for you guys today?" a waitress smiles, looking between me and Trent "I'll take the sushi" I order "I'll take the same" Trent simply says.
It bothered me how he was eyeing her just a bit too long when she walked away, it was as if I was looking at a little boy who just developed his first crush on a girl he met at the beach on vacation.
I didn't like it.
"anyways, what have you been up to other than football?" I ask Trent to get his eyes off of the waitress, my question quickly snaps him back to reality.
"nothing much, Jude visited a couple days ago as you know, other than that nothing really." he answers, Jude being mentioned made me think back to just a couple days ago.
I also didn't like that, he sent me home and went clubbing with his friend. then people started saying they were there with a girl? I wanted to kill myself right then and there.
"I heard Jude has an injury?" I change the subject, not wanting to think about it any more "yeah, but I think it's just an excuse to spend more time with Sophia. even though she has football herself, but now he can go over to her house" Trent laughs
"you could do that too, spend more time away from football for a while" I smile "I love you maddie but there is no way I'm skipping football to spend time with you" he laughs again.
